Part of the river walk is closed for construction so we happened to wander by Karibu and saw their sign and went in. I have allergies to gluten and dairy and my friend eats Halal. The owner asked what we liked showed us what he had and then asked if we were opening to him preparing plates of food for us. The lady who served me was so kind and took her time explaining what was what to me, even though there were other people waiting. I dined in, and she made sure to check in and ask if I wanted something to drink and later on what my favorite thing. Very casual vibe here with a tv playing a soccer game. I got rice, matoke with peanut sauce, chicken stew, and vegetable of the day (cabbage and spinach mixture which was seasoned very nicely) and a chicken samosa. A very generous serving!...
To be fair, my friend raved about the food, she loved it ..and went back for seconds!
After reading the others reviews I thought to mention the prices.
I will only say, I was not amused at the 32.5 price tag on the mixer plate(rice and bean, greens, and a chipati) with a giant bowl of stew that I didn't know where it...
