I was shocked by how mediocre the food was. Worst high end meal I've ever had. The the menu was not what was listed online the dishes I was interested in were not available. the quality of the food was not good. Even the bread and olive oil were low quality. The pasta was not homemade it was out of a box, the pizza was heavy and bland the glass of wine was tiny, the risotto was heavy and bland, wasn't too hungry so didn't order a meat course, but anyway I would recommend you avoid this place.

Extremely disappointing experience. I truly don’t understand the 5-star reviews — they feel completely misleading.
This was my first (and definitely last) visit. I started with the scallop appetizer, which was inedible due to large pieces of sand in every bite. Clearly not cleaned or prepared properly. I then ordered the Branzino, which was served cold. When I sent it back, the waiter casually offered to reheat it — unacceptable for a dish like that.
Service was lackluster and borderline dismissive. I mentioned a goat milk allergy, and the waiter looked at me like I was speaking a foreign language. In today’s dining environment, that level of ignorance around food allergies is inexcusable.
As for the ambiance — the interior feels more like a run-down nursing home than a restaurant. Dingy, dated, and uncomfortable.
Overall, this place was a complete letdown. Bad food, indifferent service, and an unpleasant atmosphere. Never again.

The food is superb! I visited the place several times and tried most of their appetizers, a duck dish and branzini dish. All was delicious.

Visited La Compania and overall had a good experience. The atmosphere was pleasant and cozy, with a unique interior that gave the place its own character.
I tried the duck — it was tasty and flavorful, though a bit too salty for my liking. The dessert, on the other hand, felt homemade, like it was made just for us — a lovely touch that really stood out.
The only downside was the service. Our waitress didn’t seem very engaged, and we had to wait quite a while to get her attention. Hopefully, that was just a one-off situation.
All in all, I’d recommend this place, especially for the ambiance and food — just wish the service had matched the rest of the experience.

I randomly picked this restaurant for my friend and I to go to before attending an outdoor movie at the Lyman Estate. The staff was SO NICE. The food was honestly amazing, and I come from a town in RI where our restaurants are top tier. They even gave us a free desert when we said we didn’t think we had time to order one of the ones on their menu that take 30 mins in advance to cook! They brought out this lemon ice cream on a pistachio crust… it was delicious! I would absolutely recommend it and I hope to eat here again!

Love the food and atmosphere. The food is very good and the service is excellent. Our waiter turned out to be a former manager at Stellina (sadly, no longer in operation), recognized us and made us feel very welcome. My guy had branzino, which was properly boned. I had veal scaloppini, also good, but I'm going to try a pasta dish on our next vist (tomorrow!)

The food was outstanding, with great service, classic dishes revisited with a fresh approach, from the beet salad to the branzino with microgreens and the chocolate soufflé. Décor is ok if a bit outdated, and there are almost no windows, though they do have a small year-round patio.

Some delicious plates, a beautiful place. Service can improve, Angelo, trowing plates, water, cutlery on the table and behing us, like having a really bad day or mad at us for no reason...it was too harsh, annoying and took away the relaxing atmosphere we wanted.
