Got the sweet breads at 9am on Sunday morning, I'm not a Spanish speaker but don't worry ! They are extremely friendly unlike the other place in Waltham, this small corner shop bake them fresh everyday ! I didn't see mountains of baked buns piled , only small batches were made when I got to the store. I wasn't expecting much but the bread is soft and moist, what a nice surprise! And who doesn't appreciate freshness ?

I recently had a delightful experience at Rincon Guatemalteco in Waltham, MA, and I wanted to share my positive impressions with you. Upon calling to inquire about their Rosca de Reyes, I was pleased to learn that they were indeed baking some. For those unfamiliar, Rosca de Reyes is a traditional sweet yeast bread primarily consumed on January 6th during the Kings Day festivities. Made to resemble a king's crown with candied fruit for the jewels, it has a delicious flavor and soft, cake-like texture. Traditionally, a small baby figurine that represents baby Jesus is baked into the kings bread. Getting the figurine in your slice is supposed to mean you'll receive blessings throughout the year (although it also means you have to share your blessings by hosting a tamal party at a different holiday). Upon arriving, I was fortunate to find they had freshly baked Rosca, which they adorned with a delightful touch. The Rosca was the perfect size, still warm, and incredibly delicious. The lady at the counter was not only pleasant but also incredibly hospitable. She brought back memories of my own abuelita. I highly recommend visiting Rincon Guatemalteco to try their other varieties of sweet bread and Latin goodies. It's a charming, small, family-owned business that deserves support.

This place is insane, not only is everything freshly baked on a daily basis but I've never ran into bread and baked goods so cheap in my life. Pan dulce for only 75 cents. I think everything under the counter table is under a dollar and apparently they have hot dishes? Currently on a streak with the place to try one of everything they have. The ambiance is pretty homie too, and the staff are really kind as well. They have shelves lined with snacks and a wall full of drinks. The place is warmly lit and very welcoming. Easily one of my favorite spots in Waltham, super convenient, super friendly, and incredibly cheap.

Really delicious small bakery and small goods store in waltham. Focuses on Guatemalan Imports and they also make their own food, including tamales.

If you don’t come here, you’re missing out! About as authentic as you can get, and the people here are the best. They are some of the hardest workers out here. ¡Saludos a todos los Guatemaltecos!

Grabbed an assortment of sweet breads to bring into work for our demos day. They were really delicious -- so delicious, evidently, that I'll have to get more next time, because they disappeared.
