Diner in Waltham built in 1946 and delivered in 1949 by the Worcester Lunch Car Company. The owners are so sweet and we loved our breakfast with perfectly cooked eggs over-easy and my favorite, Scala toast. There are 18 stools at the counter and multiple booths inside this cash-only dining car. If you get caught off-guard there is an ATM inside. Free parking lot to the left of the restaurant and a few 2hr spots on the street directly in front. If you are a retro diner enthusiast or history buff please help keep places like this alive by skipping IHOP and having an old-fashioned breakfast experience here instead.

Wheelchair accessibility: For those who are handicapped I would warn that although it's more spacious in here than other historical diners I've frequented and there are two entrances/exits on both sides of the car, there are only stone and wooden stairs and no ramp for a wheelchair to roll through.

A great fine and wonderful old-school American Diner. Here's where you go to get tasty traditional American food and chat with the regulars and the cook who'll fill you in on the area goings-on. Highly recommended!

Every time I come in, it's like chatting with family! I'm not going to lie, there's never been a name exchange but I sit at the bar 90% of the time- I have always felt welcomed, listened to and taken care of! Lovely service. The food is absolutely phenomenal!!! Always tasty, hot, and cooked to perfection!! It is cash only but that has never stopped me! I moved to boston two years ago, still my favorite diner to date!

Wilson’s is the best hidden gem in Waltham. My boyfriend and I come here every Tuesday morning and we always enjoy exceptional food and service from the kind staff there. The atmosphere is warm and cozy and the kind staff always take good care of us. Something remarkable about Wilson’s is how transporting it is, everything is vintage and has a story to tell it is a must visit!

wow, all around great experience!

Parking: if it's full or crowded it might be tough to get a parking spot, we didn't have a problem on a Mon. morning.

Awesome little local spot. I love a good Diner. Friendly helpful staff. Looks chaotic, but it is a well oiled machine. All the staff work well together. Food came out hot (including the toast). Good coffee, not so hot it burns when you first drink it. Eggs were made perfect, home fries had little crunch to them, and bacon was crisp, but not crunchy! Nice job to all working. Will return my next time in the area!

Parking: If others park normal, you can find a spot, either on-street or in their lot.

Well it’s still Wilson’s, it’s still great, it’s still packed with atmosphere, but I’m different. So I miss the old guy cooks. Fat old ladies usually get good service, but rarely respectful service. Maybe respectful isn’t the right word. But why argue? I mean hooks for bags under the counter is a good idea, quite a few old diners have them. So the mini-lecture from the efficient, young, woman cook just wasn’t needed. I was expecting, if anything, “hooks for pocketbooks? what a great idea!” Not the impersonal, cursory and rude “Well we don’t have them”. First, that’s obvious, did she really think that even though i mentioned hooks, I hadn’t noticed that there were none.

She was efficient, in general polite, aware of all the customers, cleaned constantly. But I just wish I still looked like the kind of woman younger women were kind to.

Oh well, it’s still Wilson’s, I’ll just stop sitting near the grill.

Like stepping back 50 years. A REAL DINER with a REAL SHORT ORDER COOK! It was a GREAT EXPERIENCE to sit at the counter and watch my food being prepared. Not often does your expectations become reality. It did here.
