Good vegan ice cream (had the chocolate pudding flavor), but the +$2 per scoop vegan tax was awful. Two small single scoop cups for $19! A $38 per pint rate is not justifiable.

I don't know if it's produced locally, the flavor is pretty weak, couldn't taste anything other than it being cold, the portion is pretty big, the price is pretty overpriced and cash only.

Way overpriced and poor quality. We were so disappointed. The 3 of us each had 1 tiny scoop of ice cream. It cost $24.00. Of course we tipped on top of that. It’s not the college kids fault. So a total of $27.00. 2 of us ordered Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. There were hardly any pieces of cookie dough, just bland plain vanilla ice cream. Definitely not going back.

Bland! Very bland! Very over priced for the quality. Every time we visit the Cape we patronize several ice cream shops. One sometimes two new shops. I was very offended that someone would gouge me for such a poor quality product. We drove down the street to watch the sunset over the harbor. I decided to walk to Macs just to compare. Not even in the same league. Shame.

The ice cream is ok - a little on the bland side. We live in western MA and are spoiled by a range of local ice cream shops that make really flavorful ice cream. The biggest issue is the cost - I have lived in Scandinavia, in the most expensive countries in the world, and this was hands down the most costly scoop I’ve ever purchased. Not worth it, unless you really want to splurge on vacation for a loca ice cream that is simply ok.

Order an amazing flavor of ice cream at the window and eat it at one of their outdoor tables or take it with you while window shopping in town. The window is sort of around the back of the building.
Dietary restrictions: For the dairy free crowd there was one sorbet on the day I visited. There was also vegan chocolate pudding flavor which is what I chose and it was delicious.

On our annual "vacation ice cream tour" in the Cape, we always try at least 1 or 2 places we haven't been to before, and A Nice Cream Stop was on this year's list.The good: staff is very friendly! Cozy outside sitting area and the town is a nice place to walk and enjoy the ice cream.The bad: Extremely disappointed in the ice cream itself. I bought Cookie Dough and immediately noticed that it was bland. Very, very bland. The dough and chocolate chips were fine, but the ice cream tasted milky, not creamy and definitely not rich. At $7 for a *small* cone (!) - which was far higher than any other place we'd visited - it was a disappointment overall.To see if I was crazy, I immediately went down to Mac's on the Pier and tried a sample of the same flavor. The difference was immediate - THAT was excellent ice cream. The burst of flavor from even the small sample said it all. And - Mac's was $2 less, which is much more in line with competitors. (But really, there was no competition.)In reading other reviews, it appears that comments about bland vanilla-based ice creams are not uncommon, as are comments about how freakin' expensive the stuff is.Gave an extra star because the staff was nice, but this is really all about the ice cream, right?No question that we will not return.
