As year-round Cape Cod residents, we were thrilled to learn that the restaurant was open during the off-season. It's always been a goal of ours to patronize businesses that don't close when tourists (and their dollars) cross the bridge after Labor Day, so when we had errands to run on the Outer Cape, we stopped by. We were one of few people in the restaurant for lunch on a Saturday, and we were made to feel welcome quickly. The draft beer selection was generous, getting us off to an excellent start. My wife and I both had pulled pork - a platter for me and a sandwich for her. The meat was moist and tender to the touch, with a delicate smoky flavor enhanced by just enough black pepper. I did try one of the freshly made sauces but found it a little sweet for my taste. Besides, the pork was exquisitely delicious without it. The sides, in my case, mashed potatoes and collard greens, were both fresh and tasty. All in all, we loved the relaxed vibe, but especially the smoked meats. I would confidently say that it was the best barbecue I've had on the Cape.

The perfect place when you're tired of seafood. Excellent BBQ and friendly staff. Open year round too which is great.

I heard about Block and Tackle on the radio. They have trivia Thursday, it is Sunday. I stopped on by for the most delicious pulled chicken I have ever eaten. My two sides were the collard greens absolutely amazing and the mashed potatoes with the gravy .. I would give the whole atmosphere a 20/10 because when I noticed the license plate collection and had questions the owner answered… and did not give me any wierd look for my questions… the establishment is one pull door and has booth seating in addition to the bar they also have tables and to go orders.A good place to take a family. The food is amazing…Vegetarian options: They have fries and salads and mashed potatoes and Brussels sproutsDietary restrictions: Very good array of vegan options from the garlic fries to salads ..Kid-friendliness: They have booths and a dining room and to go ordering for those that just want to stay in.Wheelchair accessibility: The land is flat and there is one pull door … which I am absolutely sure if you call the staff will have no issue opening.

A great Capearita, yummy cheese curds, delicious beans and coleslaw, and the best service! Why 3 stars? Because the brisket special was a small portion that was salty, dry, and had a big chunk of fat. Doesn't matter if the apps, sides, and service are great... the main needs to be a winner. Maybe the other mains are good but would not likely dine here again, especially when restaurant prices have surged like they have. Everything should be up to par.

We stumbled upon this while driving in the area. It was lunch time so we decided to stop. We were immediately created by a friendly lady who asked us sit wherever we liked. She was super friendly and was patient answering all of our food questions. The food is all made to order and is delicious! We later discovered that it’s a husband and wife team that own and run the business. If you are in the area, please stop in. You will not be disappointed!

I came in for lunch. The burger tasted great, but wasn't piping hot (perhaps a consequence of timing it to arrive with my friend's entree). If it were in my neighborhood, I'd certainly be back.
