We always enjoy going to VR's the food is always dependably great, people there are very nice and it is a comfortable dining experience. We are glad that VR's has reopened for another season
My husband and I had a lively dinner with his daughter and partner. This is my second time at Peter and Diane's restaurant and it is my new favorite place. Highly recommend!!
Always a great meal. Always a friendly welcome. Always a good time. Our “go to” place on the Cape.
Really nice dinner on Easter weekend. Super nice service and delicious food. Manager said order desert. We did. Was the right call!!! Yummy carrot cake! Good experience all around.
Very nice staff. Table wasn't ready for our reservation, my order was wrong 2x, and appetizers came after our main course. The food was pretty good and kid's meal portion was huge.

Great seafood, lobster, and service. It can get busy but worth the wait.

House special omelet was amazing. Stuffed with ingredients and thin, perfectly cooked outside. So moist and tender. Fresh side of greens and thick, tasty whole grain toast. My wife's Eggs Benedict was also 5 star. At least three people in addition to our server checked on us. Alex, our server, was very young but so polite and composed despite his nervousness. He did a great job. Breakfast cocktails also hit the mark! Will be back on our next trip!
Parking: Spots adjacent to the building are tight to get out of.

I have passed here many years on the way to Wellfleet and Truro. Today we stopped for breakfast. So glad we did!
Amazing food! The service by Alex was terrific...delicious was to end our weekend on the Cape.
I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with greens and a Wellfleet Bloody Mary (I slurred down the oyster before the pic). My husband had the Junkyard Omelette with greens and a Mimosa.

Could not have been happier with our visit over Columbus Day weekend. I called ahead to see if our 2 dogs would be allowed on the patio and if they had heaters as it was chilly. They were very accommodating. The heaters were lit and a water dish ready for our dogs. There were 4 of us dining. We all loved our cocktails, chowder, steak and seafood dishes. Will definitely go back next time we travel to cape cod. Thank you for a wonderful Friday night dinner.

Excellent cuisine. We ordered duck and beef Short ribs, and creme brulee for dessert. The duck and beef were the best we ever had! The creme brulee beats any in Paris that we have had! Peter, the owner is there to greet and monitor the operation and more importantly will personally ask how one's meal is! One of my favorite restaurants on Cape Cod.

Van Rensselaers checks all the 5-Star boxes. Great food to please everyone's tastes (pun intended!). Last night the place was hopping, the last Saturday before closing. And yet they still had their full menu offerings. Their seafood is exemplary. During the various seasons they have bluefish and striped bass. ALL prepared perfectly. Looking forward to their April reopening!
This is my absolute favorite restaurant on the Cape. The clam chowder is to die for
