Chef Kevin Reed produced an exceptional South African dish. The afisotto was absolutely one of THE BEST DISHES I’Ve enjoyed. Great atmosphere especially on a sunny afternoon. Kira G. was an excellent server. What a chance find. Kudos.

A friend and I were down the cape to do a day hike at the Atlantic White Cedar swamp trail. We didn’t have a lunch spot in mind, but when we looked at the menu for Winslow’s Tavern we knew we needed to pay a visit and it surely didn’t disappoint. The second you walk inside, you’re captivated by the warmness of the restaurant. You feel like you’ve just arrived back home and all your friends and family are there to welcome you back.

My friend got the Venison off the South African Sunday Special menu; which was perfection! I’m happy she shared a piece with me.

I got the swordfish schnitzel and it was delicious. I would never of thought to do a schnitzel with a swordfish steak and it was such a comfort. The display of the food was exceptional, good portion of food that satisfies you and doesn’t make you feel like you could have asked for more. The attention to detail in the entire construction of the meal, makes you want to learn to be a better cook. It really is creating magic and it’s a gift to be able to cook with such passion and knowledge of making a meal that enlightens all the senses.

Also, the winter sangria was deviously delightful and I could have drank more if I didn’t have a long drive ahead. Next time we will have to arrange to stay in the area.

I would like to especially thank Richie for being an absolute delight to have met, his warm and charming personality were infectious and it was great laughing with him.

We will definitely be back, to our home away home. Thank you to the entire staff at Winslows Tavern, I’ll be telling everyone in the area to pay a visit.

Really enjoyed grabbing drinks, fresh oysters, and lobster bisque here. The bar upstairs is great.

This is a 25 minute drive from our home and it is so worth it as it is one of our absolute favorite restaurants on the cape. We have never had a bad meal. Each of the meals are visual masterpieces and even better tasting.

Hidden gem of Wellfleet dinning is the upstairs bar at Winslow’s. Serves the same menu as restaurant in wonderful low key bar setting. Tables and seats always open for seating. Great way to come in for drinks and have yummy starters such as the amazing lobster brochettes and home made focaccia. Liam part of the amazing staff will make you feel like a regular and can help make any decisions about the menu and what to drink. The menu has many mouth watering choices. Come hungry and enjoy the yummy

Our second lunch and it couldn't have been better. The scallops and risotto were the best. The Trout was fantastic. Really outstanding food, this chef is great, wish he was closer to our home in Belmont.

Owner/manager couple Tracey Barry Hunt and Phillip Hunt have mastered the combination of hospitality and good food! The upstairs bar is one of the coziest spots I can think of anywhere to hang out! I especially liked the fingerling potatoes and hot olives (along with an Aperol Spritz)!

This classic beautiful building caught my eye one afternoon and so we walked in for dinner tonight… WOW! We are so pleased we did! The owner and her sister in law( visiting) made our experience- perfect- warm and comfortable in every way you would want in your dining experience and much more for us!
The food…. The warm sweet corn risotto with the Meyer lemon drizzle over the scallops with this fine sprinkle of bacon all over !!!!!
I was moaning eating this dish folks!
The lemon berry crunch pana cotta and a hot cup of coffee- finished out our lovely visit…
You want a delicious - special meal and warm hospitality- this is your place!
