I love the food from here, perfect for takeout on game night! I also love this one waitress who is hilarious and such a sweetheart. Try the General Tso Beef, I tried it on a whim but it absolutely hits the spot! The atmosphere is ok with small town vibes but it's much cleaner than other places, which I appreciate much more than fancy decorations.
We came up from Florida and this was very good in my opinion. The wife said it’s the best chicken finger she’s ever had. I forgot to take a pic of my generals chicken I was too excited to start eating. I asked the waitress for some sweet & sour sauce and the sauce she brought out was absolutely phenomenal. Although it definitely wasn’t the traditional red sweet and sour sauce I was expecting. It was better than anything I’ve had. Our waitress was awesome and very entertaining
Closest thing I have found that is similar to the Chinese food in Eastern MA. Boston area Chinese food is known nationally for the way they prepare it. The brown lobster sauce with pork. Darker rice and lo mein. The really old school restaurants use celery in their egg rolls. I was pleasantly surprised with the food at the Golden Peacock. The hot and sour soup was spot on. Had the regular fillers including black fungus, tofu, mushrooms and a few others. You could taste the flavors...
