“Went to play pool on our bdays with daughter n son in law. There were alot of people there but not uncomfortably overcrowded. The age range was vast, from young to old. We did not have to wait at all for a table to play on. There was a DJ that play a wide variety of music that kept everyone happy. Staff was friendly and fast. There was no waiting at bar for a drink“

“What a nice place to come and relax after work.The locals are very nice. I happened past this venue while on the way to a warehouse a short distance away; I walked up. When I discovered there was no food to be had, the patrons brainstormed and one fellow came up with a local Chin food joint that delivers.But here's the true blessing, that same gentleman , Rodney, bought me some food and refused to accept $$.. “This is an authentic, awesome little bar in a little town that's struggling. Older, super friendly, working class customers; familiar, friendly service. Clearly a local hangout -- a gender- and racially-mixed group were meeting in a side room to share pizza before settling to down to their weekly dice, cards and dollar bills....wIth breaks for drink refreshment. Some customers at the bar sang along to a jukebox mix of Toby Keith, Tom Jones, The Beatles, Poison and The Monkees. A couple of local guys had a beer while picking up pizza to take back to their families.

We washed down our solid bar fare with very good, local IPA's from a microbrewery headed by a woman who couldn't do what she wanted to do at a bigger brewery, so she started her own here in Palmer.

There are probably better places to eat in town, but Tailgate has to be the most authentic, welcoming place here. I'll look forward to going back.“

“Ron is a great bat tender. Good personality, and very attentive. Onion rings good, but people don't go there for the food. They probably loose a lot of business by locking the front door and having people go to the back, which is not easily found, and there is no sign,plus it's dark and doesn't seem safe. It makes no sense, because a robber would prefer the back door.“

“Good bar type food. Prices were reasonable. Quality of the food was excellent. Portions were good. Seating included bar, booth and high tables. They do have a separate banquet/party room available. Good selection of beverages available. Bar type atmosphere. The Thursday night we went the sound level was normal with easy conversation level.“

“My mom brought me out for my birthday yesterday and the food and service was exceptional. I got the Shrimp Alfredo with fettuccine and it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My Mom got a Grilled Chicken Salad and it was huge and buried with tons of chicken. My grandmother got a Steak and Cheese Grinder and the cheese pull was fantastic and it tasted amazing. We all opted for the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer which were absolutely delicious, although I wish they were larger. Our waitress was a nice young lady who was fabulous. All in all it was a great dining experience. 9/10“

I am pretty critical when it comes to dining out, especially visiting a lot of local restaurants and comparing…I got the short rib, with mashed potatoes and carrots. Wouldn’t change a thing.
