Had some meats and cheeses, flaming chorizo, beef brochette, and the arugula salad. All of it was delish. Our servers got mixed up so we were sitting without service for a bit. It happens. But the server finally did come over and she was great. The smell of the place was mouth watering. It had a fun electric vibe. Would definitely go back.
Great decor. Good food overall. The meats and cheeses for the appetizer platter were very good. Olives excellent. Paella a little over done. Salmon was great. Large piece and cooked nicely. Hanger steak and burger very good. We sat outside on a beautiful evening. No one else out there. Table not set despite our reservation and server couldn't find plates (?). Service initially very slow, but improved once we asked if we should move inside. I think they got the hint.
Came to Matadora with a large corporate group through a reservation on OpenTable. I don't believe they are staffed to handle a large group. Dishes came out without knowing who ordered. Servers didn't know the cut of steak on the plate. An order for a rare ribeye came out well done, returned, and came back out medium rare. Ribeye did not meet the menu weight. Too much salt and spice on the meat. Very thin steaks. I think this restaurant bit off more than it can chew in...
