Amazing food! My husband ordered the steak last week, and we already have our next trip on the calendar.

Meh, is it so expensive because everything comes on small plates and you are catered to as if the waiter is your friend? If you're going to spend this kind of money, you're better off going out in Boston: Bistro du Midi or something along those lines. At least you'll get a better atmosphere and people watching. Sure, at deadhorse you can dress up and sip your $17 cocktails and eat creatively made tapas, but you can do that at places that are more fun and in a nicer neighborhood where you can walk around. I think the main people that like this place live in central MA and can't be bothered to drive to Newport, Boston or the Cape. I would only come back for a drink, appetizer or dessert. Not a very lively or particularly special scene to make the high price tag worth an entire meal.

We visited for our wedding anniversary and it was wonderful. Our server Willy was knowledgeable in regards to the menu and streered us in the right direction, especially for dessert. Deadhorse reminds me of eating out in a big city like Philly !

An incredible dining experience and our server was so helpful knowledgeable and kind. He made great recommendations on wine and food pairings and we had a great time chatting with him during courses. He also made recommendations for our kids. Incredible dishes and great service.

We were trying to go to the breakaway festival when it started down pouring, we stayed under their foyer for shelter and the staff came out and offered us chairs to sit! Very kind we are appreciative of you guys 🫶

We had an extraordinary and most memorable dinner outing at Deadhorse Hill yesterday for which I am compelled to share this review on my own volition.

The seafood, oysters, and salad we ordered was made with great care and was thoroughly exquisite. Our waiter, Willy, was warm, welcoming, and very knowledgeable as he guided us through the process of selecting fare and wine with such vivid descriptive detail.

Trevor, our host, also deserves an acknowledgement for being so welcoming. One is easily left with the impression that Deadhorse Hill staff love what they do.

Noteworthy is also the fact that this fine restaurant explicitly states that they provide their staff with livable wages. This is important to us.

Deadhorse Hill hosted us for a private event and everything was nothing short of amazing! Julia and the team were incredible. The food was some of the best food we’ve ever had and the drinks were perfect! Everyone working there was so attentive to our guests and made it a special night. I can say as someone who hosts private events all over the country in top cities, deadhorse hill is by far one of my faves. Highly recommend!! I can’t wait to come back :) Thanks again! (I regret not taking pics!!)

I sat at the bar for brunch and enjoyed a delicious burger, sour dough bread and a couple cocktails. The food was top notch, the drinks were outrageously good and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. This is a must visit spot in Worcester.

The food was excellent. Loved the beverage list. Service was a bit slow and inattentive. Missed the added gratuity fine print at the top of the menu. That should really be reiterated when the check is dropped, instead the server dropped the check and said nothing and of course there was a line asking for additional tips. This is just another example of tipping culture getting way out of control. If you want to ensure staff get paid a living wage, you should increase your prices and do away with tipping entirely and pay your staff a livable hourly wage no matter how many people come through the door and what they choose to buy. This forced gratuity plus asking for more just felt really wrong. I want to think about the food and enjoy company at a restaurant, not think about my servers' wages, nor have to look for the fine print.

I had wanted to visit Dead Horse Hill for a long time and it far exceeded my extremely high expectations! From the moment we walked in I knew we were in for a memorable brunch. We were greeted warmly by the host, who showed us to our table before the rest of our party arrived. We ordered Bloody Marys while we waited and our server offered to answer any questions we had about the brunch menu. So many imaginative choices. We started with pancakes and fresh peaches for the table. The pancakes were light and fluffy and the peaches delicious. The stars of our order were the Shakshuka and the Chilaquiles. The server and chef gladly accommodated my request to add feta to the spicy tomato sauce served with buttery sourdough toast. It was all so so good. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was lively and light. Can't wait to go back!

Great food and great experience. This restaurant offers a very good food quality and flavors. Everything is so fresh and delicious. I do recommend the pork chops. You can't go wrong with that. My friend had the picanha, it was really good too.

This place is a hidden gem. The menu changes seasonally, but the rigatoni is a staple — rich, hearty, and comforting. The burger is often hailed as the best in the city. The atmosphere is upscale yet cozy, with an open kitchen that adds to the experience. Service is top-notch, attentive without being overbearing. Perfect spot for a special night out or a casual dinner with friends.

This is what happens when a kitchen is led by vision, not vibes.

Worcester doesn’t always get credit for its culinary scene, but deadhorse hill is doing work. Real work. Thoughtful, ambitious, quietly subversive work. The kind that doesn’t scream for attention because it doesn’t need to.

From the bread service to dessert, everything had intention. Not a single lazy choice. Not one safe play. It’s New American with an edge. Not because they’re trying to be edgy, but because they’re not afraid of flavor, or silence, or letting things be weird and wonderful.

I had Grass-fed Picanha Steak that managed to be both wild and deeply comforting. The plating was modern without being Instagram-thirsty. And the wine pairing? Smart, playful, and so not a default Chardonnay.

This is a chef’s restaurant. A cook’s restaurant. A place where the craft is still sacred. If you know, you know.
