About Scruffy Murphys

Scruffy Murphys is a pub with a broad menu offering various food options, not just traditional Irish pub fare. The service is prompt and the staff is doing many things right, though it can be hit or miss—some servers disappear for long stretches. While the beer selection may be lacking, there are reasonable substitutes available. The food is average pub fare but one of the cheapest sit-down meals post-inflation. The fish and chips can be confusing with cod on one menu and haddock on another, and the fries have been undercooked or overly salty lately. However, the prime rib at $12.99 is a great value, and the chowder is excellent, though sometimes served too warm from sitting under a heat lamp. Despite small hiccups, the overall experience has been great, with outstanding service and amazing food at great prices—getting 5 meals for $80 is a deal that can't go wrong. Conveniently located near Worcester airport, it’s a perfect spot for a quick pre-flight meal. This amazing experience makes it worth returning to Scruffy Murphys.

I was at Scruffy’s February 9 with friends to hear Terry Brennan the Irish Singer and of course to eat. Terry was excellent as always and the steak Waldorf Salad was the best l have had, can’t wait to go back again and have it. I must say all their food is delicious!
Stopped by Scruffy Murphy's Worcester after landing at Worcester airport, & I was excited to try their $21.99 lobster roll. We began with mozzarella sticks, which were a great value. I paired my lobster roll with sweet potato fries, while he opted for the $16.99 fried captain platter. The lobster roll had plenty of filling, & his platter was devoured before I could try a bite - we left satisfied!
