I Love The Gavel. I’m there three times a week. I love the food and the drinks. I love the bartender, Paul, and the waitress Brittney. Never once had a bad meal or bad experience here.
This a very good pub (food was very good and menu has a very nice selection.) Overall, a good New England Pub - very prototypical. Food and Service was good. My recommendation for improvement are the two hostesses at the front door on a Saturday afternoon - You are the "face," of this establishment. When patrons walk-in: 1) Probably best to not be on your phone 2) if a patron asks to sit at a table, that is not yet cleared -- it is not the "end of the world," if a patron wants...read full review

This was our first time at The Gavel. Definitely a place to hang out with friends or family.. We went on a Friday night and had a typical 40 minute or so wait. They do not have reservations. However the wait seemed to pass quickly as we had an attentive bar tender and enough space to hang out with live music.The food was very good, six people in our party and sense I can't figure out how to do 4-1/2 stars on the rating I'm putting it here.
