“This is Prairie Chinese food (lemon chicken, Singapore style noodles, ginger beef, sweet & sour veal, chop suey,... you get it) done to perfection. Great prices! Four adults stuffed themselves at lunch and came home for enough food for another meal for under $60, taxes in! The place is meticulously clean, the chef is talented, owner and front & back person is friendly. So, the decor is 70s rec room, it just adds to the authentic charm of stepping back in time when Chinese food was what you'd find in a small Prairie town, portions were generous and prices were more than reasonable. The beef was tender and juicy with just the right amount of ginger and garlic, the lemon chicken was also juicy with a spectacularly crisp breading and the smooth sweet-sour lemon sauce brought back memories of 1960s Lee's Chop Suey.”

“If pizza for lunch is on your plate then look no further than TCB on Kenaston. A 12” very filling pie will set you back $22. Tons of toppings and easily passed my crust test. Toss off all the toppings and you still have an amazing crisp light crust that is so good. This is the Sicilian with lots of meat and mushrooms that made for a juicier slice. Lunch is limited to pizza but several more items are added to the evening menu. Bands are often showcased on Friday and Saturday nights. There is a good sized patio, far off from busy Kenaston and there are several bar high tables but it it mostly bench type seating, nice way to meet your neighbours.”

“My personal fave is still the soon tofu soup — it’s cozy, comforting, and always hits the spot. If you’re into spicy broth, their gamjatang is honestly one of the best I’ve had in Winnipeg. The chicken was pretty good too, though one piece was crazy salty, probably from sitting at the bottom. The Korean pancake isn’t anything special, but I still love it anyway.

Prices are okay overall, though the chicken feels a bit pricey for just 6 pieces. The place itself is fine, nothing super unique, but the customer service was great and really made the visit better.”

“I recently went to Winnipeg from Regina, SK for a quick holiday and had the pleasure of enjoying Chane Bhutare and a Black Dal. I also ordered a Masala Tea and the server kindly gave a Besan Barfi as well. I felt like I was enjoying a home-cooked meal, so blissful and it also brought me tears of joy. “Nuburger Kenaston: I was greeted by two very warm and friendly gentlemen. One of them gave me a low-down on the menu as I had never been there before. My burger (monster something rather) was huge and soooo delicious! The fries contained the perfect amount of salt and crispness…you know when the ends have just a little extra oil and it adds to the taste😋However, nothing surpassed my expectations more than the service. One of the gentlemen offered to help carry my order to the car and held doors open. 120/10!! 😉”

“Stopped in yesterday for the first time as I don’t live in the area and ordered a dozen Samosas for takeout. Restaurant area looked very clean and Staff was very pleasant as I waited 20mins for them to make a fresh order for me. (I did not order in advance so waiting was not a problem). These were the BEST Samosas and tandoori sauce I’ve eaten! Very flavourful with the perfect amount of hot spice! Food stayed piping hot for 35 minutes until I could get home and eat them! Wish they were in my neighborhood, I would order from them weekly! 😊”
