Food was okay, prices were so high compared to the quantity.. Visited on my way back to Winnipeg, but noticed prices higher than Winnipeg too..

We were greeted with a sincere welcome. We had never been there before so we just asked to view a menu. The sweetheart at the front desk immediately started telling us about some of the items and making some great recommendations.
The staff was absolutely incredible. We didn't feel like customers. We felt like guests. They took such amazing care of us and made sure that we had everything we needed throughout our dining experience. What a lovely place to be! Supporting a business like this was a joy. The flavors we experienced will be bringing us back for sure!

TASTE OF SPICE is honestly one of the best spots I’ve tried lately. The spices are well balanced & food was fresh !!! Cocktails were a BONUS ♥️- really unique!! Excellent Customer Service.

Taste of Spice truly lives up to its name! They are super welcoming. The girl up on the front counter is such a sweetheart. And when I told her that we are on a long trip she did all her best she could do to provide a best customer service. A special thanks to her for everything.
I tried the chicken curry, baingan bharta, and tawa roti, and everything was absolutely delicious. The chicken curry was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The baingan bharta had that authentic smoky taste and was cooked just right. The tawa roti was soft, fresh, and the perfect accompaniment to the dishes. The Indian tea was aromatic, comforting, and tasted just like authentic homemade chai.
Great food, authentic flavors, and a satisfying experience overall. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Indian comfort food.

Taste of Spice was a great find in Portage la Prairie. The food was excellent — we ordered the biryani and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavour and well cooked.

What really made us come back again and again during our one-month stay in Southport was their masala chai. It was spot on and reminded us of home.

Highly recommend this place if you’re in the area and craving good Indian food and authentic chai.

Absolutely delicious!
I ordered food for delivery from Taste of Spice and was so impressed! The food arrived right on time, perfectly hot, and full of amazing flavor. Every dish was fresh, well-spiced, and tasted authentic — you can really tell they use quality ingredients. Excellent service and great attention to detail. Definitely one of the best restaurants around — highly recommended! 👌🍛
