The place and the woman acted like a cheat. She inflated the prices, and her Asun was the worst I've ever had. It is an insult to call it Asun. Her soup was mediocre and poor.
She overcharged me for an extra pounded yam and soup. When I asked her, she gave me this weak excuse that she gave me a bigger, extra-pounded yam. Did I ask for a bigger one, I asked? The extra pounded yam wasn't even bigger; it was the same size as regular. Her soup was half oil/ half soup and tasted mediocre at best.
Then, her customer service was poor. I'd rate it 30/ 100! I wouldn't recommend the restaurant at all. It was the worst $78 I have ever spent on food, and this is saying it kindly. It was a poor experience!
Her stew and meat are an unacceptable apology. I regret buying there. This was on December 28th, 2024

The food was very good and tasty. The only thing I didn't appreciate is how rude lady was. Her facial expressions and the way she was talking was very very rude. Because of that this is my last time eating there!

I Ordered food yesterday costing more than $70. Reached home, only to find the jollof rice had way too much salt in all 3 containers, the ladies gave me 2 small pieces of beef full of fats, the chicken they gave Me in all 3 containers were only similar parts, not even one thigh. I don't recommend this restaurant to anyone who needs controlling their sodium intake.
I just wasted my money. I Will never go back. I thought I wanted to try Nigerian dish that night but was disappointed. They didn't even have spoons to offer me.
I wish I had read all the reviews before wasting my hard earned money!

Well their white rice and stew was not so good to my taste, I really regretted ordering it. The stew was to watery and no flavour. The 2 drumstick chicken was more like bone drumsticks, no chicken around it. The only thing I enjoyed was their plantain and salad. Even their beans was to soft like it’s not porridge beans I asked for. Now I do t think I want to even try their hologram. Though people says it’s good

I was craving Jollof Rice and originally went to a place that sevres already prepared Jollof Rice but it was closed. Went to Akins and I do not regret it. The pricing was fair; I got the Chicken Jollof Rice and a drink and paid under 20. The portioning was good; I probably would have had some left over but I was hungry and it left me full and satisfied. I had a whole take out container and they even filled one of the smaller areas with rice. The rice was perfect; oily but not too oily, good spice, firm but soft and cooked all the way through. For the chicken, I got two legs thoughI prefer a thigh and leg. That being said the flavor of the chicken and the texture were nice. The plantains were the best I have ever had; They weren't slice but I did not mind that at all bc when they are sliced they are not as juicy and flavorful as these ones were. I will go back to try other dishes and I will recommend to others. also, I didn't eat there but the restaurant was clean, comfortable and nice looking. would have taken pic but I ate it all already X)
