Well their white rice and stew was not so good to my taste, I really regretted ordering it. The stew was to watery and no flavour. The 2 drumstick chicken was more like bone drumsticks, no chicken around it. The only thing I enjoyed was their plantain and salad. Even their beans was to soft like it’s not porridge beans I asked for. Now I do t think I want to even try their hologram. Though people says it’s good

I was craving Jollof Rice and originally went to a place that sevres already prepared Jollof Rice but it was closed. Went to Akins and I do not regret it. The pricing was fair; I got the Chicken Jollof Rice and a drink and paid under 20. The portioning was good; I probably would have had some left over but I was hungry and it left me full and satisfied. I had a whole take out container and they even filled one of the smaller areas with rice. The rice was perfect; oily but not too oily, good spice, firm but soft and cooked all the way through. For the chicken, I got two legs thoughI prefer a thigh and leg. That being said the flavor of the chicken and the texture were nice. The plantains were the best I have ever had; They weren't slice but I did not mind that at all bc when they are sliced they are not as juicy and flavorful as these ones were. I will go back to try other dishes and I will recommend to others. also, I didn't eat there but the restaurant was clean, comfortable and nice looking. would have taken pic but I ate it all already X)

The fried rice was very bland. Not bad just incredibly bland . The chicken was the one redeeming factor hence the second star.

Ordered jollof... came with one single piece of beef

The owner and employees are rude. The food I ordered was terrible and they add tips to your bill and tell you it is compulsory to give tips. If you decide to dine in, pay extra attention to your bill as there are hidden charges. I will not be visiting this restaurant

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT… This is the worst restaurant in Winnipeg. I ordered okra soup and they sent me spinach soup, not a single okra in sight. Terrible customer service too
