Ashur used to be our favourite spot in Winnipeg for Shawarma - they had a delicious homemade pita! However since the change of ownership it hasn’t been the same. The pita was dry, as was the meat, there was minimal sauce and no other toppings. We’re dissapointed that the food has changed!

The food and staff are both excellent - I loved their bbq platter and shawarma platter. We went as a family and were treated so well, the owner is extremely welcoming and offered some home made cookies and coffee on the house after our lunch. Overall awesome experience. Highly recommend Asher for Halal middle eastern cuisine!!
