The bistro has a menu that is clearly created with love for food and great knowledge of the Metis culture. The owner is a creative genius when it comes time to some of the unique combinations he has created to put on the menu. What I appeared most about the bistro experience, is the care that goes into sourcing every ingredient made to cook the quality food they offer. Your meals are not throwing together with margarine, or low quality butter. Give me are not purchased from superstore....
Incredible place!! This is one of the few places that serves up bison and elk. Not only that, their menu is dynamic, so in a few months, there are some changes. The accompanying sides do not appear to be a side thought, but rather do pair nicely with the main. Even something as simple as fried potatoes has something to add to the experience.
Bistro offers a dedication to local fare that is worthy of support. I believe they source everything they reasonably can from Manitoba - inquire with the staff for full details.
