Such a great cute spot. Constantly reminded me of tiny nooks in Italy. Food was delicious. Great place to celebrate an intimate birthday

Born and raised in a traditional Southern Italian home (parents born and raised in the Basilicata region of Italy). Usually a bit skeptical of Italian restaurants outside of Italy. Not here. I had to write a glowing review because (a) the food was phenomenal, and (b) as authentic as one can get. My friends were equally blown away. I wanted to thank the owner in Italian, but he was too shy. Nevertheless, this restaurant is now top of choice whenever I'm in Winnipeg on business. Complimenti al cuoco !

We went for a friend’s birthday dinner and the service was horrible and the food was like food court pasta. They couldn’t accommodate gluten free or even split bills. They rushed is out before our allotted time and the manager refused to rectify our issue. There are great spots in the exchange, so avoid this one

Fantastic authentic Italian. Started with Carpaccio and ended with their two house made pastas. We’ve been looking for a great Italian restaurant with reasonable prices and this is it! Highly recommend.
Parking: Free Street Parking after 5:30pm. Hard to come by a spot. Paid parking lots plentiful!

We were visiting Winnipeg from Saskatchewan and only had one day in the city. Our son told us about Borgo Antico and although he'd never been, he had heard only good things. Doug and I started with a cold Vancouver Island IPA while our son had an Italian Gin and Tonic. Really tasty. We shared some delicious bread and a plate of fresh mozza, tomatoes, balsamic and oh so much flavour! Sorry I can't remember the name. We moved on to some delicious roasted brussel sprouts and they were fantastic! Sweet and savoury, perfectly caramelized. We shared two pastas, one soft rolled pasta in a tomato sauce and the other was spaghetti carbonara. Again, fantastic flavour and presentation!! I can't say enough about how fun and tasty our experience was. We only see our son occasionally so when we get together, we like to enjoy a memorable time together. This restaurant nailed it. Whether it's a get together like we enjoyed, or date night, or before a show, or after work drinks and snacks with colleagues... Perfect for all of those things. We spoke with the owner and she was so friendly and personable. Our server helped us make choices and her recommendations were spot on. The biggest surprise was the value for the money. Sometimes small plates add up to a big budget but we were all satiated and happy and the bill was substantially less than our last trip to a chain pasta place we went to last time! And no comparison in quality!
Will we be back!? Absolutely. No hesitation there. Check them out. It's not only a place to get food but it's a really fun experience!

My friends and I had a hard time deciding on what to get, so we decided to try many different items. Everything was delicious, but we found the Cavatelli and Paccheri particularly good. The signature drinks had a delightful twist on classic cocktails. Adam was a wonderful server.

Went here several months ago and meant to do a review sooner. The busy rush hour and the searching for parking (found quickly) did not deter me from trying this place and I was not disappointed ! The dinner and drinks from the bar were perfect!! Loved how the owner came to say hi and ask how things were. Loved the service too!! I will definitely be back when I’m back in the Peg.

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed great food, the friendly service (thanks Thor), and the comfortable atmosphere. Was happy to see they had a full house at 6:30, well deserved!

Exceptional service! I was greeted immediately upon arrival. The ambiance, the decor, the warmth of the restaurant is perfect for a dinner night out with friends. I've since been back 3 times, bringing new friends each time and the experience continues to be amazing. The food was absolutely delicious, perfect portion sizes. Always more than satisfied when I leave and I can't wait to return!
