Semi self serve cafeteria style eatery. A good place to grab a bite while enjoying a day of outdoor fun. Service is minimal but friendly. Dishes are simple, tasty and hit the spot.

**Celiacs: no options here. On the day I was in there was a basket of protein bars some of which were gluten free.
Edit- see response below. Not only is there nothing on the menu board but there is no mention of gluten free options on ANY signage. Highly recommend the cafe amend this if they seriously offer safe gluten free options.

Always the best bowl of homemade soup on a cold day.

I Love a great cup of coffee….but sorry, the coffee really sucked, almost like dirty dishwater…a hefty ish price too. A $1.00 coffee at ikea much much better. I asked another girl when we were in washroom what she thought of coffee….she only drank 1/2 cup as it was flavourless….so it wasn’t just me. Too bad, rest of menu looks decent but I need good coffee to go with it, esp for breakfast/brunch. Guess I won’t go back:(

Curry chickpea portion was very small and tasteless. I would like to see more plant-based options considering Fort Whyte is an ecologically focused organization.

We really enjoyed our time at the café before heading out for a walk at FortWhyte. The soup is homemade and comforting. The staff were very friendly. The views from the café are breathtaking. This is our go to breakfast/ lunch place!

Nice atmosphere but it was snowing and they didn't even have hot chocolate. No cream or sugar was out or offered with my coffee. Food menu looked good as did the desserts.

Great venue for some decent breakfast. They ran out of hot coffee while we were there so only four stars. Watching the birds on the patio bumps up the atmosphere rating!

The experience of having bison is certainly one I won't forget. That being said the food didn't meet my expectations.Bison meat is certainly not quite like beef, but it is not better than it for sure. That wasn't the only issue, my burger was almost cold, I'm not sure if it wasn't grilled properly or if the vegetables were too cold they chilled the meat, but it was a bit disappointing. The fries only tasted good with the ketchup. Otherwise, quite bland.I will say the hummus toast was delightful. I'd have that again!

Lovely place, you could watch birds and lake view when you dinn in. But their kitchen will closed after 15:00 in week days.

Enjoyed the variety of birds visiting the feeders just outside the windows. Was a sunny day, everybody was in good spirits, hasn't been a great spring.
