EVERYTHING about this restaurant was pure perfection. We were warmly greeted the moment we walked in and the feeling of community is so strong. Add to that the menu that hangs above the counter, so many options! We ordered a chili cheese dog, a bacon cheeseburger and the special of the day (Fat Boy Burger) fries and gravy and 2 cans of coke.
Let me say this. Those burgers were so good, I literally shed a tear of pure joy. The buns are THE BEST and the burger was flawlessly seasoned.

I'm not sure if all Harveys are supposed to be like this, but the food gives me the nostalgic feeling of a home bbq!

I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger meal, a side of chicken strips and a pumpkin pie concrete mixer. My pumpkin pie concrete mixer was made quickly. While I waited for my food, I took a few bites from my pumpkin pie mixer and was immediately in heaven. It was so good! This is a mixer that definitely needs to be available year round lol. I was then greeted by the owner and had a nice little chat with him. I told him that Freddy's reminds me of my favorite burger and frozen custard restaurant in Grand Forks, North Dakota, called Culver's. I always went to culver's every time I was in Grand Forks. I loved it. I got my food, got in the car and began to try my lunch. When I took that first bite of my burger, the patties are nice and juicy, the bacon was crispy, perfect amount of pickles and cheese. It was so good! I honestly can say, this is now my new favorite burger place. I am beyond satisfied with my lunch! I'm so glad that I stopped in for lunch today! Thank you for the amazing service and amazing food!“

“Have not eaten at a Meltwich since pre-pandemic when it was located in Wpg Square. Did not disappoint tonight. Husband had the Southern Fried Chicken Melt it was to die for. Saucy and with a little kick. I had the Philly Cheese steak was quite good. But I like mine saucy would have been amazing with a horseradish mayo on it.
Fries were really crispy but not alot of flavor on their own. But still quite good. Probably quite delicious in their Poutines.

Cautionary notice they come out piping hot. I would suggest a knife and fork for the Philly Cheese Steak as it comes piled high with stuff. But when its that hot you're either waiting for it to cool down or burning your fingers off as everything falls out with each bite. Knife and fork does the trick so you can savor it all together without risking a burnt lip or tongue 😉“
