This has been the staple Chinese food restaurant for me for the last 20+ years! The family that owns/runs the business is always polite and kind and the food is fantastic!
We moved out of town a few years back and we will drive in just to pickup Choy’s.
Great food, don’t hesitate.
Have ordered from Choys on numerous occasions and had great experiences. However, I ordered a large order on Boxing Day and I have never been so disappointed, The chicken fried rice was just plain rice with a couple pieces of chicken on top with a couple pale old peas, the cantonese noodle dish was seriously lacking in noodles and was mostly cabbage, sprouts and raw onion, the golden dragon (my grandson and my favorite) was the worst, had a couple pieces of pineapple and the huge meatballs were of the frozen type overcooked and could not be cut with a knife. The onions in the dishes were practically raw and were more a cooking onion. I am on fixed income so when I spend big buck on a meal I expect it to meet at least previous expectations. I'm sorry but Choy's lost a customer on this one!!!
This is the worst chinese food I have bought. Tonight we ordered 3 meals and everything was bad. The quality of this food was below par on so many levels. The chicken tasted spoil and I refuse to believe that the chef cooked that chicken without knowing it was spoiled. The Cantonese noodle tasted like gas. In addition to that the portion size of the chicken fried rice was appalling and only had 2 tiny pieces of chicken on top. All in all I am so disappointed tonight as I had to end up throwing this entire thing out and wasting 62 dollars. My advise to NOT eat here!!..
Ordered last night. 2 dishes, a wonton soup and fried rice. The portions were tiny - a large wonton soup had 2 wontons which were mostly wrapper with what felt like an ikea meatball inside. The baby corn in the soup tasted like perfume. The fried rice tasted chewy and old, with little of anything in it (it’s supposed to have egg, right??) either other places are overwhelmingly good and this is the norm, or this was just terrible and my expectations are realistic. I don’t know which. It makes me sad as I love supporting local businesses, but not this one anymore.
Terrible food. Chicken balls not cooked properly the breading was all doughy and the fried rice was disgusting.
Really enjoyed the food! I found that they made really good kinds of meat. Sometimes when you order chicken balls from places there’s a grainy texture afterwards, but Choys breaded chicken balls are amazing! Absorbs sauces like sweet and sour sauce and lemon sauce well! Really thought that their food felt home cooked and adds charm to the food. A very solid place to choose if you’re looking for something that tastes home made for a reasonable price!
I used to love the deluxe wonton here.
I don't like wonton as a rule. But unfortunately, this really made me rethink my return.
Mushy overdone cooked mess in a container. Well, that is exactly what I got.
I'm not coming back. Meat taste: was on the verge of spoiling.
Almond Chicken Soo Guy is our go to dish!
Choy's WAS the Chinese restaurant my family ordered from regularly. While we heard some did not like it, we loved the Kung Pao Chicken and Choy's Special Hot Beef, though they weren't quite as good last time we ordered, and neither were a couple of our other choices . A typical order for us was 6-7 dishes. Last time we were there we were even asked how to make veal with pineapples. They said they had a new cook. My husband noticed, what he thought was, new management. I believe this is likely true, based on my recent experience. While I congratulate new owners, if applicable, I would miss the old team. They seemed to take an interest is us as customers and were very friendly. I would suspect the new person answering the phone could be alright, but the last two times we called she was impersonal and gruff. To make matters waaaay worse, in ONE MONTH, the bill for six dishes jumped SEVENTEEN DOLLARS!!! I thought a mistake could have been made so called back and, with a gentle approach, asked if we could review the bill. Right away, she snapped about supplier costs. I didn't care. I just wanted to go over my bill. She didn't even do that! She took a minute then stated it's right. So, I canceled my order, wished her well, and told her we'd need to order elsewhere (note: The other Chinese restaurants in the area have WAY HIGHER RATINGS, anyway!). I went to the website, and the prices are updated from their paper menu, so you can assess the value yourself. Wherever you order from, I wish you a Tasty dinner!
Grossly overpriced for what you get, chicken fried rice looked unappealing to say the least.Chicken looked raw on top and wasn’t mixed at all in, all for almost $10. Disappointed.

Do not eat here.Ordered the chicken fried rice and it was practically over fried rice with shredded uncooked chicken on top. Called to complain and say I want a different order or refund and said they don’t do that. I expressed I was very disappointed and an unsatisfied customer and she didn’t see to care. Also very over priced for the portions.
I've had Choy's a few times over the years and I'd say their flaw is pretty consistent. Time management. Besides, when they had a small boy working the counter. They seem to get flooded with orders and it sometimes takes 15-25 minutes longer than what they originally stated. No knock on their food. It seems freshly fried instead of sitting under a heat lamb. I recommend the sweet n sour shirmp and the breaded veal. If I was able to give a half star, they'd be 3.5. Thanks for making me food when I didn't want to cook!
Chicken vegetable almond and sweet and sour chicken ball dishes are absolutely phenomenal
Chicken balls were great we ordered 4 plates everything else was dry and horrible. Had ordered through door dash told them they could pick it all up it was that bad got suck with 80 worth food...would NOT suggest trying it like we did...go to royal garden down the street
In recent months we have ordered from Choys as we have in past years, but the quality has deteriorated significantly, and the pricing had increased significantly. I will not be ordering again from them nor will I recommend them to any friends (as I have in the past). Very disappointing ….$160 order would have been far better off to go across town to competitor. A lot of dishes were poorly put together, but biggest complaint of all, everything was room temperature at best(cold). Always been my #1 complaint. Hope they can improve the quality of their product…. “Used to be a great place…?
