Ducky's is a Winnipeg institution and the food always excellent and always affordable. I love their clam strips and fish (cod/halibut) and chips (which come in large portions).The "new" owners (as of about 5 years ago) really respect the Ducky's tradition while also bringing an exceptional service tradition of their own.When I want fish and chips, there is no other place.
Was disappointed when here about 3 years ago so figured I would give it another try. Fries were better this time around-crispier. Fish cod....one piece was pretty good crispy, and other one was underdone. Will try another place for fish and chips. Can't seem to find a place that does it really well and does it consistently.
During Covid we have been trying to continue to support local businesses as much as possible. We found Ducky's on Skip and decided to give them a try. The food arrive still fairly hot. Each order of Halibut and chips was really good and came with 2 pieces of fish and a huge amount of fries. Will definitely order from there again!
