“After following them online for a while, I finally had a chance to try Engocha’s food today and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the mixed combination and the vegetarian combination and both were phenomenal. The injera was fluffy and delicious and each component of the meals were perfectly seasoned, and flavourful without being greasy. Their injera is made from 100% teff flour which is naturally gluten free. I have not found another restaurant in the city that serves gluten free injera without a minimum of 2 days notice. Do yourself a favour and try their food. You won’t regret it.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly.“
“I have never been disappointed in the wings, or deep fried pickles here, but the service is hit and miss. Once we get our initial food and drinks, it seems that the serve never comes back to check on you or offer another drink unless you flag them down.“
“Pretty good flavour on the birria but man it’s expensive and tiny for tacos but Ive been eating my way thru taco central in California where they are cheap fantastic and plentiful. So far this is Winnipeg’s top contender for queso birria tacos.“
“Don’t drive past this gem!A very clean and tidy restaurant with a friendly owner who takes pride in his cooking. Our party of three went for lunch and were delighted with our menu choices. The food was beautifully presented, fresh and bursting with the flavour of fresh spices. The portions were big too! Next time we are wanting to eat Indian fusion cooking we will definitely be going back - there are so many different options on the menu yet to be tried.“
