The Gather provides a beautiful setting for a lovely dinner. Staff is friendly and helpful. I'd suggest asking your server for input when you order. We go there fairly often. My thoughts from last night's dinner: the roasted carrots are always delicious; my husband and my friend enjoyed the well-seasoned prawns; I love the potatoes but found the pickerel too breaded and too crunchy and won't order them again.
What an amazing experience at Gather this evening. My wife and I made a trip to Winnipeg to enjoy our last holiday of the summer. We spent the entire day at Assiniboine Park touring the zoo, The Leaf, and all the other sights the park has to offer. We ended our day with a meal at Gather and it was a 5 star+ experience. Food and atmosphere were good. Service felt transactional and like glorified plate carriers. Gnocchi were tasty! Salad was fresh. Kid pouring the water was good though bouncing around to every table.
