“This review is in regards to Alyssa Willson. Alyssa has been a consistent leader for Joey's Polo Park location bar for as long as I can remember. Despite her many tasks in her managerial position, she still takes the time to weave through all the tables and genuinely interact with the familiar faces of return guests to really give the welcoming family feel at this locations. She is always smiling, despite the array of different situations showing from afar to each guest that everything is running smoothly from in front of house to the kitchen staff. She's an asset to the Fuller Family Group the and sky limit for this one.“

“I had the pleasure of running across this quaint little ice cream shop, with a large selection of very tasty ice cream. It was the day we celebrated Pinawa Birthday. I wanted ice cream and later went back for coffee. Our party of three each ordered a different flavour and were delighted in taste testing each others. The ice cream was so good. We had to wait our turn in the line up but it was so worth it. I went by later for coffee and discovered they were supposed to be closed an hour before that but the happy customers kept coming so she made us our lattes. There was a group of Police man after us and Julia happily served them after us. I loved the ice cream, I loved the passionate and friendly service and the lattes were very tasty. It’s nice to see a small town business being run with such care, compassion to stay over time and such a tasty selection. If you haven’t tried it yet… GO. I will be back. 😊😊😊“

“This its an excellent restaurant close to RMTC. We volunteer there and usually make it a date night before our evening volunteer shift. We ordered a traditional Bruschetta to share and a Correintes Calzone to share. Our server was very helpful and the food (brought by another server) was hot and perfectly prepared. We really enjoyed the service and the food. We will be baking to try other dishes on the menu.“

“Ordered delivery. Quesadilla was cheesy and full of lots of great hearty veggies, lots of salsa and sour cream on the side. I was craving the Memphis Rib appy and as always it was amazing. They come with a sauce on the side but they really dont need it. They're SO great on their own. Fall off the bone tender, crispy bits on the edges, just perfect. The food, at least with delivery, has been inconsistent lately. It's like the pho is no longer being cooked or tasted by those who know what it's supposed to taste like. Just tastes watered down. Bottles 1/2 cooked. Gotta almost always cold and i live 4 blocks away... So not sure why, but it seems the quality is not as good as it was.... too bad... I used to order twice a week from here.. I'm down to twice a month. After today throwing out half a bowl of water soup i think I'm taking a break from this place for a bit.

“Never do this high a rating , but it is a gem in the wall. One of top two Greek places in the city (and the other is not on Corydon). Opened at 11, full by noon. Everything that came out was fast and very well made with large portions.
First time visit, but it will be added to a favourites list for sure!!“

“Ate there last night for the first time. I had the gluten free beef enchiladas (I have celiac disease) and they were delicious!! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The owner gave me a brief history of his journey in Winnipeg in providing gluten free products (although he does not have celiac disease, nor does he have allergies or gluten intolerance). He does not up charge for gf meals and doesn’t believe in penalizing those who can’t eat gluten because of a medical condition. So refreshing to hear!!!! A small, quaint family restaurant with all the Mexican vibes. Will definitely be back!“

“I just had the best aids Benedict I've ever had in my life. The bacon was thick and done to perfection. We are definitely coming back again and I will probably have the eggs benedict again. The Mimosa did not go lightly on the Prosecco. I got a little buzz which was perfect.“

“Nuburger Kenaston: I was greeted by two very warm and friendly gentlemen. One of them gave me a low-down on the menu as I had never been there before. My burger (monster something rather) was huge and soooo delicious! The fries contained the perfect amount of salt and crispness…you know when the ends have just a little extra oil and it adds to the taste😋However, nothing surpassed my expectations more than the service. One of the gentlemen offered to help carry my order to the car and held doors open. 120/10!! 😉“

“I went into Double D's when I needed to find something for dessert for a family dinner. I was met by a wonderfully cheery woman that informed me that she was one of the D's in Double D's. I had never been there before and I let her know that, and she was not only extremely helpful but awesomely charismatic and you could tell she had a passion for what she was doing. She told me to try the Pistachio, Blueberry, and Skor and they were all a hit. I wish I could remember her name, but I do know I will be going back next time I am in Winnipeg! Definitely recommend!“

I ordered the Mushroom Empanada, Chicken & Bechamel Empanada, and a box of their chocolate-dipped Alfajores—every single item was a hit. The mushroom empanada was rich, savory, and perfectly seasoned. The chicken & béchamel one was incredibly creamy and flavorful, with the filling tucked inside a perfectly golden, flaky crust. But the real surprise? The Alfajores. Soft, buttery cookies with a dulce de leche center, all dipped in smooth chocolate—absolutely indulgent and worth every bite. Not only was the food top-notch, but everything arrived fresh and beautifully packaged. You can tell these are made with care and quality ingredients. I’ll definitely be ordering again soon!🥰“
