I would go to New York fries after work and get myself poutine. the fries are very will done and crispy after coming out of the deep fryer and the cheese curds will melt while sitting on the gravy, very satisfying. The people who works there are very nice and welcoming. I enjoy coming here.“

“Found this place on the Winnipeg Cafe Passport. It was the first place I went to from it actually. I wasn't disappointed. Cozy place with good coffee selections.

While they do have some pastry options, I don't think they're made on-site, so they weren't the best. But the oat latte I had was amazing.

“Food never disappoints. They are known for their ribs for good reason, but anything you order is 5 stars. Try the veal, chicken brioche or beef liver.

It’s also very homey in the lounge… the kind of place where you know most of the people have been going for decades. Great old Winnipeg charm. Very friendly servers, and a great place to watch a game.

“I went into Double D's when I needed to find something for dessert for a family dinner. I was met by a wonderfully cheery woman that informed me that she was one of the D's in Double D's. I had never been there before and I let her know that, and she was not only extremely helpful but awesomely charismatic and you could tell she had a passion for what she was doing. She told me to try the Pistachio, Blueberry, and Skor and they were all a hit. I wish I could remember her name, but I do know I will be going back next time I am in Winnipeg! Definitely recommend!“

“I ordered the Tom yum soup and Pad Thai. The Tom yum was so good, it was perfect to end the long gloomy day. My boyfriend kept laughing about how long I talked about the soup after we left. I felt like each vegetable in the soup was individually cooked to its perfection, and the hot sour soup was *drooling* .

Moving on to the pad thai, oh lord, this pad thai has made me a better person. It was life changing absolutely divine *drools again*

I’m going to be back and nothing can stop me. I’m now addicted to Sabai.“

“I can't say enough good things things about Naru!! It's been my favourite sushi place in the city for over 8 years. I've travelled a lot and can say it's also some of the best across Canada as well. Whenever I try sushi from a different place, I'm inevitably disappointed. Nothing in the city even comes close. I usually stick to the special rolls, especially the Naru roll, fried house, double salmon, Las Vegas, blue mountain. The sashimi is also some of the very best I've had. Thick, fresh slices, yum!! The tempura is really good as well. I can't speak too much to the more basic rolls, but I'm sure they're great too. The service is incredible. I was there yesterday and we were in and out in an hour! We didn't rush at all, the food just hit our table that fast. I'm always so so impressed! And they always say bye when we're leaving 🥹 genuinely the best feelings when I treat myself to sushi here. May this restaurant stay open forever.“

“This is the best sushi in Winnipeg. we stumbled upon this gem about a month ago and were amazed by how delicious and reasonably priced it is. Our second visit today was even better! Absolutely everything we've sampled is delicious; from the sushi pizza, the beef tataki, the rolls, the miso.. and the Sapporo frozen beer... 5☆. On top of fabulous food is the service! A+! I can not recommend this restaurant enough. If we lived closer we would probably be in at least twice a week!“

“I went here with my mum and it was such a fun experience! We went for lunch, so the place was pretty quiet, but started to get busier around three. There was a huge selection of games and we didn't have any trouble finding something to play. The food and coffee was delicious, and the staff were super helpful and courteous, both with serving our table and with offering game suggestions. It has a splendid, cozy atmosphere and we would have stayed longer if our parking meter wasn't out of time lol. Such a cute place in downtown!“
