We were briefly visiting Winnipeg and have a gluten sensitivity in the family, and so we searched around quite a bit for the best place to get gluten-free desserts in the city. We were not disappointed! We tried the pecan pie, vanilla eclairs, pistachio cheesecake, and mango coconut mousse. These are the best gluten-free desserts we have had after eating GF for six years. There is no indoor seating, but they have takeout boxes and disposable forks. Highly recommended!

We visited Honey Bunny Pastry Shop on Saturday and were absolutely impressed. The desserts are truly authentic European pastries, and in our opinion, some of the best desserts in Winnipeg. We bought two slices of Napoleon cake, and they were incredibly delicious—perfectly layered, fresh, and full of flavor. It’s not easy to find genuine European-style desserts, but Honey Bunny does an amazing job. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking for authentic European sweets!

Really happy with how many vegetarian and vegan options there were. So many of the cakes were egg free which was amazing because I got to try traditional European baked goods such as the Ukranian Sour Cream Cake which was delicious. The owner was really helpful and meticulous about what contained egg and what didnt. Highly recommend and will be coming back.

We were out looking for both traditional, and especially gluten-free treats for a celebration. Hunny Bunny had been recommended and did not disappoint. Fabulous old-world atmosphere with displays full of attractive pastries, perogies of all kinds, tirimisu cups and a whole display case of gluten-free cookies, bars, slices, muffins. Our selections were all wonderful…..almond cake with lemon, coconut and chocolate hedgehogs, eclairs and lovely cookies.

As a Soviet trained Engineer I enjoyed and I am found of Soviet foods. I truly enjoyed MEDOVICK. The ones I bought here are fresh, tasty and enjoyable.
I’ve tried other desserts here before and they were really good. This time we decided to try the classic Napoleon. I love Napoleon cake — it’s my favorite. It looked nice and the layers were fresh, but the cream had a strange taste — it felt like it wasn’t fresh, with a slightly “stale” aftertaste and no proper light custard flavor that it should have. It’s nothing like a classic Napoleon custard cream.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed this time — I couldn’t even finish it.

Someone recommended this bakery to me because of the gluten free options and I am so pleased!! I got the gf tiramisu, imperial cookies, and pistachio chocolate cheesecake and all three were incredible. It’s so nice having so many choices of gf options. On top of that, lots of variety in flavors and texture, which is a luxury for gluten free eaters. The hours are super convenient too. I think this is my new favourite spot for a sweet treat.
