“Had the best vindaloo and pakora here. It was our first time and we had a guest with us who was vegetarian. They had a great platter that was very tasty and we're so glad we came. We'll definitely be back many more times.“

“We had lunch at Cilantros Portage Avenue. Great service and great food. I had the desi wings. I like breaded wings. I don't know what they bread with, but these were amazing and crunchy with a cool fresh diced veggie sauce. My wife had two samosas in a tasty chick pea sauce. I have never really liked samosas before because they were always dry and bland. These were great with just the right amount of heat in the sauce.“

“I recently went to Winnipeg from Regina, SK for a quick holiday and had the pleasure of enjoying Chane Bhutare and a Black Dal. I also ordered a Masala Tea and the server kindly gave a Besan Barfi as well. I felt like I was enjoying a home-cooked meal, so blissful and it also brought me tears of joy. I offer a heartfelt thank you to the two beautiful women whom served me and to chef/chefs whom prepared my meal. Thank you and bless you.“

“Our family had a wonderful dining experience tonight. Our server was Pardeep Kaur and she was so incredibly patient and kind. She had a smile on the entire time and did not make us feel as if we were asking for too much. She came by a few times to ensure our experience was going well. The food was 5/5 and service was prompt. The restaurant itself was quiet during the time we were there and well kept. We will definitely dine in again! Thank you Jas Indian Cuisine!“

“Really good food and great value for your money. The owners are lovely. Loved their butter chicken and they are generous with the naan bread. We will definitely return (and try the masala chai tea next time!).“

“We typically go to the Clay Oven on Kenaston as a treat occasionally. We've been going there since their first location opened on Inkster and we always enjoyed it until the last time we were there. We usually order their Thali platters. This time we ordered a Lamb and Chicken Thai platter with the cumin potatoes as one of the sides. It was terrible. The potatoes were half cooked and hard with no flavor. The rice was flavorless as well. Seeing that we always enjoyed it until now we're definitely not going back again. Seeing it's kinda of expensive it's a treat for us we were sadly disappointed.“

“Had a lovely dinner experience, and Jasmeen was the star of the night! She was incredibly helpful, always checking in at the right time without making us feel rushed. Her attention to detail and genuine care made the whole meal smooth and enjoyable. She handled everything with a calm and professional attitude — even when the restaurant was busy. Jasmeen truly knows how to make guests feel valued. Definitely hope to be served by her again!“

“We've been going here over 20 years and it is by far the best Indian food. The buffet is amazing with so many options, everything from various chicken dishes to shrimp, mussels in creamy sauce, lamb, butter chicken, beef vindaloo etc. The rice has improved as it was a little crunchy at one time but is perfect now. There is a lot of vegetarian, salad and desert items. Also, fresh baked naan is also included in the buffet now. The food is always hot and fresh and the different spices and flavors cannot be compared to any other Indian restaurant we have been to. The decor is great and transports you to India with all the items brought over and has a wonderful ambiance. Sachit and his parents always made everyone feel welcome and his mom and he now run things as his father passed. It is our favorite restaurant.“

“Delicious, interesting flavorful food.“
“Delicious! We tried the Butter Chicken and the Chickpea Potato Curry. The butter chicken sauce was rich, creamy, and flavorful while the chicken was deliciously tender. The chickpea potato curry was perfectly spiced with a very deep flavour profile. The menu has lots of different international inspirations and this is some of the best Indian food we've had in Winnipeg. Chef Kumar and his team are very talented. We look forward to stopping by whenever we can and trying all the other dishes!“

“This place is great! I was skeptical at first but the food has improved dramatically since they first opened. The restaurant is clean and the folks who work there are super nice. I live close by and stop in quite often for one of their entree dishes. The price is unbelievable for the amount of food you get. A big pile of rice and two veg currys, add a samosa and you are still walking out of there for under ten dollars!I eat a lot of Indian food and while this place is not the fanciest, it is good food and great value.“

“Photos are me forgetting to take pictures beforehand lol. I got the Chatpate, Rasmalai and both the chicken and beef steamed momos. Reason I came here: I missed the nepali food in calgary so i tried the highest rated momo place here. Can i tell you the food is FANTASTIC. I cannot describe how good the momos are. they top the ones in calgary and i will come back later if i get hungry. i paid $13 for like 10 momos for the beef and $13 for 10 chicken momos. THAT IS A STEAL. i went to calgary and got 10 pieces for like $20. The care they put into the food is outrageously good. like you cannot tell me those were not handcrafted. I’d say the beef momos are better than the chicken ones. they just like melt in my mouth they are so juicy and so perfect for cold or even hot days. the chicken momos are a 10/10. even though they are not as good as the beef, these can beat any dumpling place in the city IN MY OPINION. I will rate the chatpate a 7/10. the spices they put in there were STRONG, not like what i had in calgary, so if you expect and want strong flavours, get this. THE RASMALAI WAS SO GOOD. thats why theres ones 1/2 left in the picture. i rate it a 8.9/10. this is my first time tasting that dessert and i think next time itll be better. the texture is different than what i’m used to in desserts but its so perfect. its not too sweet and i can just eat 20 of them. i paid $45 for 4 dishes. service was great aswell. i was glad to hear the wait time was 15-20 minutes because that usually means the food is fresh. i love this place and i will keep coming back.

“High quality food! Used to enjoy when they were in Selkirk and now I go out of my way for their food in Transcona. Very worth the trip. Best samosas I've ever had, yummy butter chicken or butter paneer. If you order samosa platter, ask for masala and toppings in separate container. Still savoring the food I picked up yesterday evg.“

“I tried the chaat, crispy noodle wrap, and cheesy sandwich. The sandwich had too much cheese, and it wasn’t melted, which could be improved. For drinks, I loved the Rose Heaven, but the Biscoff shake was just okay. The ambiance was decent. Overall, the chaat and Rose Heaven stood out.“
“Total worth for what you pay for!! Authentic Indian meals at a very reasonable pricing and sufficient quantity too. It's an mall setting so only counter service but there are common tables in mall food court for having your meal. Totally recommend it.“

“Spicy grill is a almost weekly order and I've been in a few times and always left very full and happy.
The service is totally acceptable but read reviews and know what your in for.
The food is where this special place shines.
Some of the best Naan in the city. The rest of the food might be better than the Naan. Be warned some of the dishes are actually spicy hence the name.(i really like spice.)
All and all i would say order a lot and feast for days.“
