My husband took me to Le Petite Chef for my 63rd birthday. We had eaten at The Velvet Glove before but this was our first time experiencing Le Petite Chef. It was a great experience. The food was excellent (especially the ravioli), the filet mignon was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. I didn't care for the Japanese dessert so, much to my surprise, I was asked what else I would like instead. I asked what they had and they countered with "what would madam like"? I requested cheesecake if they had it, and they did! A LOVELY lemon cheesecake which they sent home with me because they ALSO gave me a mini chocolate cupcake with a candle in it.
What really made this an amazing meal was the service! This is where the restaurant really shines. I mean, WOW, talk about attention to detail! Our server, Raoul, never missed a beat. He was extremely attentive and efficient. As soon as we finished a course, Raoul was right there to clear the table, yet somehow he was also very discreet in doing so, and despite how quickly the used plate would disappear after each course, we never felt rushed! He was the elegant, old school type server who truly takes pride in his work. In today's sloppy world where we have come to expect and ACCEPT lousy customer service, Raoul was a rare find - the kind of server that one rarely sees in today's service industry.
The show was unique and a lot of fun. If I had ONE tiny place where I feel there is room for improvement, it would be in the length of the show. It is way too short and it would be lovely if the show could be stretched to cover the time between courses.
While an expensive evening, in my opinion, it was worth every penny! I would highly recommend everyone try it at least once. It is a great and unique way to celebrate a special occasion.

Such a unique experience! Had so much fun watching the animations and the food was delicious. It's on the pricier side, but I think its worth the price to at least experience once. The staff did a great job as well. Overall, would recommend!

While the experience was unique, the dinner wasn’t worth the price. The vegetarian/vegan menu didn’t seem well planned. We got two salads in a row with almost the same ingredients. The dishes were bland and didn’t have basic seasoning. Will not be going back.
Vegetarian options: It wasn't worth the price

What a beautiful and fun experience. We attended the 2nd season of the Le Petit Chef in Winnipeg mainly on a whim. The food, service and experience was excellent and I highly recommend the event. Our server Rod was engaging and the food was delicious. The only caution I would provide that it is an elevated cost adventure and might not be for everyone.

We attended Le Petit Chef late last year with its debut at The Velvet Glove Restaurant (Fairmont Hotel) and it was an unforgettable experience for my partner and I. The service was top notch, the food was delectable and the show was so unique. It definitely exceeded both of our expectations and was so memorable. We’re so excited to attend Le Petit Chef & Friends this time around and we can’t wait to bring our little one to a future show!

The show was entertaining, especially for kids. My child thoroughly enjoyed it. The burrata was exceptional; I never really liked burrata until I tried it at Le Petit Chef. As for the steak, it was tender and well-seasoned, pairing perfectly with the accompanying sauce. Will come back again for Le petit Chef 2024
My wife and I went along with adult son and friend. The animation was entertaining and delightful. The food was rich and excellent presentation. The salad was an explosion of tastes that I have never experienced. The steak was tender and melted in my mouth. The night on a whole was very fulfilling and would recommend it to anybody and everybody. Well worth the night out for a great meal.

Le Petit Chef was captivating from start to finish! A flute of crisp Cava on arrival and an amazing visual and culinary experience was a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Enjoyed a wonderful evening with 8 of my beautiful friends.

Le Petit Chef was a lovely experience! The menu was specific to the holiday season and I enjoyed the variety throughout the meal. Portions were very generous and the dessert was a perfect egg nog creme brulee! This is also I think, a fun experience for kids with the wonderful animation. I found myself laughing at Le Petit Chef antics - definitely recommend! Staff was lovley and kind.
