Finally got into the city to try the sit in location on portage, The atmosphere was fantastic, the food was Amazing and the service was friendly. I would highly recommend coming here for a meal.

I can not praise the food enough!! It was truly amazing!! The flavour is on point, the pastry was crisp and flaky, the fries are crispy and fluffy inside. The woman working was serving, cooking and cleaning so good on her so yes she could have been more attentive, but still well worth a visit. We will be going back as it is totally worth and the prices are great. Check it out!!!
Just did a quick shawarma poutine (beef) order for pick up from this place for the first time. I'm not shawarma connoisseur, but this was really, really good. Service was spot-on and the place looked really clean and inviting. Menu is also quite extensive. It's a shame that more people don't know of this joint. I'll be spreading the good word.

the beef shawarma (platter) was completely dried up and over cooked. the service was super slow and the cashier was not friendly, we were the only ones there. the chicken kebab wrap was decent.

This place was old and you will not notice there's a hidden gem inside of this not too big not small place.. I should say hidden gem because of the food that I've been looking since we came here in winnipeg Manitoba Canada... a real food that can wake up your taste bud... must try if you don't like oily food ... and grill food that you are craving is the answer maggis Syrian restaurant in portage avenue near to court of st. James a place where I live... if you will visit there try to call in advance and Mr. Elias and her daughter will take care of you...from salad hummus garlic sauce and tahini you will love it!
Food comes with small chunks of coal in it, that we didn’t realize were not charred meat, so you get that when you take a bite, in this case I platted a kid and can’t even begin to imagine what would have happened if I didn’t starting cutting food up. They have no time management ability of any kind, and are lying to skip if you place order with them, so be very very careful when ordering from them.
King’s all the way, better food quality and most importantly food control, and they actually care for clientele- which is important especially when you are new and there are better established competitors.

Went with friends and food was great! Huge portions, ordered the falafael appie and the shish taouk platter. Came with a small salad, nice tang to the dressing. Food was well prepared and wonderfully seasoned. Another friend had lentil soup and said was great.

The staff was so kind and inviting and the quality of the food is sublime! I can't get over the amount of flavor and care packed into each dish, can't wait to go back. The cost for what you get is so reasonable !
Victoria location. I hate leaving bad reviews but when it comes to food people have to be very careful. The kebab I have gotten was not cooked all the way through but I only noticed half way through eating because I was so hungry. I have a fear of undercooked food so this threw me off into a panic. Also, I’m already vomiting with a stomach ache. I’m posting this to just make sure next time that the restaurant is careful about uncooked food. The kitchen was also not the cleanest. Please, hygiene when handling food is the most important rule. Service was nice though
