Authentic Cantonese pastries with a long history in Winnipeg’s China Town. A go-to favourite with the local Cantonese community for their buns and pastries, but also for their durian and fruit cakes for birthdays and other celebrations. Highly recommend the pineapple bun, coconut bun, and the egg tarts. Also highly recommend going when the buns are freshly baked in the mornings. Just have to remember they accept cash only.
Love the bbq pork buns. had an opportunity to try their birthday cake, it's amazing! Has fruit inside and decorated with fresh fruit, icing is not as sweet as usual, surprising does not go soggy when kept chilled. Vanilla sponge cake makes for a light and very tasty desert . Will definitely order this cake and not just for birthdays.
I have been to a number of Chinese bakeries in a lot of different cities. This will always be my favourite! Best winter melon pastries hands down! And we love the vanilla cake with fruit cocktail filling! My husband loves the coconut buns, and the mango cake is a delicious and refreshing treat!
