Everything about our experience was phenomenal! We had Lisa as our server, and she elevated our evening beyond what we ever imagined. We came to celebrate my husband’s birthday exactly a week ago, having never heard of this place before—we just found it on Google and thought, “Why not?” We’re so glad we did.

The food was absolutely top tier. From the very first bite, you could tell it was made with high-quality ingredients and prepared with great care. We had two appetizers, 2 entrees, a soup to share, a dessert and 2 drinks, with leftovers to take home! Despite how full we were, we had to finish our first experience here with dessert. The lemon gelato was out of this world delicious-we finished it so quickly!! The portions were generous, the prices were very reasonable, and every dish was bursting with flavour. My husband and I had to pause multiple times during our meal just to appreciate how incredible everything tasted.

Lisa was warm, welcoming, and attentive. She made sure we felt completely taken care of, and her kindness made the night even more special. Another detail that really stood out was hearing the Italian-speaking staff in the restaurant—it added an authentic charm and atmosphere that made the whole experience feel even more special.

We’ve already recommended this restaurant to our family and friends, and we can’t wait to come back ourselves!

Ordered from Monticchio Ristorante Italiano and was blown away. The bruschetta was fresh and flavourful, the meat lasagna was rich and comforting, and the Caesar salad was crisp and perfectly dressed. To top it off, they included six warm breadsticks, free of charge! Portions were huge, everything arrived hot, and the quality was top-notch. Will definitely be ordering again!

First time I ever ordered from here on Skip the Dishes. I ordered the Penne with Vodka Sauce and Garlic Bread Knots. The food arrived piping hot, was delicious and very reasonably priced. I think this is my new favourite Italian restaurant in Winnipeg. So far I would definitely recommend it. Now I’ll have to go there in person to check out the entire dining experience. Stay tuned for my next review.

Never thought I would write this review as this place used to be amazing. Skip delivered but the wrong order that’s cool. But what I saw was extremely sad. This food comes at a premium price the spaghetti was simply a small portion. Noodles dipped in tomato juice . Small portions on every other item aswell garlic knots . We got 4 . Yes four. That’s around 4 $ per knot based on the price from skip. Potentially the saving grace was the pizza until you taste canned mushrooms. Also they need a sharper knife as this pizza was not cut . This place used to be amazing. Seriously so good . After seeing the degrade in quality of the ingredients they use and dismal portion size I cannot ever recommend or go here again. Sorry for the bad review ownership but someone has to warn people.

Let me tell you, if you’re looking for authentic Italian, look no further. This place has the best pasta, the best bread knots and the most amazing atmosphere in Winnipeg!

Terrible service.

This night was for my wife's birthday so we picked a highly rated restaurant. It turned out to be the ring choice. My wife's dish was good but the appetizers tasted like it came out of a box and into a microwave. My maranara sauce was tasteless and watery. Finally our server was very inattentive except when it was time to pay the bill, then she became chatty. Maybe this was an off night for everything? I have been to much better Italian restaurants in the city, to bad I expected better from this place.

Food was ok, service was a bit lame by one of the owners. Salad had slimy bits, no dressing. Atmosphere was a bit loud, with all the chatter. Young girl at the front was very nice.
