I got my daughters 18th bday cake from Omas Bakery, and it was phenomenal. I highly recommend. She was very accommodating. I think all future cakes will be done here.

Can't wait to check this place out, responding to negative reviews is extremely hard and you have to be compassionate and every one I've read, was met with extreme kindness but still corrects the customer of their mistakes(as yes, I've seen the customers mistakes and sometimes they need to reevaluate before they write a review lol)

Well love bakery treats! Went there got my fav poppy seed roll, and a pull apart loaf. After supper was so excited for desert, we started with the pull apart. Hubby gave me a pce and while I was enjoying my piece he bit into his and pulled out a shoulder length DARK hair he may as well be bald and I have hip length blonde hair. Ya it happens but I couldn’t eat any of it now it all went in the garbage. So sad!! I called the next day just to let them know I wasn’t looking for free stuff or a refund. I just wanted to let them know. Well the woman made me feel like a liar!!!! She said everyone wears hair nets and in the three whole years she’s worked there she has never heard anything like this. We’ll add insult to injury. She did say I could bring it back for a refund. I was only in that part of town for an appt no I’m not driving all that way for what 8.00 just wanted them to know what happened. She also hope you give us another chance! Not likely don’t like being treated like a liar. So sad the only place I’ve seen with fresh poppy seed role my fav. Guess will have to find a recipe!?

Very disappointing! Ordered a birthday cake 3 weeks prior with a follow up 3 days before. I was told the cake would be ready-and it was, but nothing like we ordered. The filling layers were reversed 2 of cherry 1 buttercream instead of opposite. The cake has NO birthday greeting on it AT ALL. WHY NOT? We asked for basic wording but got none!! The decoration is minimal which we could live with but not very impressed with. When we picked up the cake and asked about the greeting, we were told "Sorry, the cake decorator is not here, no one else can help you". At 11:30 am on a Saturday, there's no one can do a bit of writing on a cake in a bakery known for its 'fantastic' cakes? I suppose for a $45 cake we shouldn't expect much? When we read the order sheet attached to the box, it didn't have a lot of what we asked for on the original pink order paper - it was re-written. It didn't even have a happy birthday message on the new order paper! When we asked about that, the counter person was totally disinterested and shrugged it off. As we needed the cake for a birthday, we didn't have much choice but to accept it as it was. Once again, extremely disappointed and would not recommend to anyone looking for a special order cake.

The dog image is based on my sister's pet and was very cute. This bakery is amazing, always fresh and reasonably priced unlike other more prominent bakeries in the city. The cinnamon buns are incredible, the cookies are fantastic and the bars are also really delicious. We had a custom cake made for a birthday and it did not disappoint. It tasted just as good as it looked. We LOVE Oma’s bake shop for so many reasons and would urge anyone who hasn’t stopped at Oma’s bake shop to make it a priority !

They were able to accommodate my order on short notice and most importantly - The cupcakes tasted amazing! Everyone has been asking where I got them and I was happy to refer them to Oma's Bakeshop. I would trust the team at Oma’s for any special occasion! They are over the top amazing. My daughter graduated from UofM this spring and wanted a specific Squidward cake she’d seen on IG. After several so-called custom cake bakeries said they couldn’t do it or would charge me $120 to put a photocopied edible picture on an 8- inch surface, I turned to Oma’s Bakery. They were so enthusiastic to take on the challenge and they did an incredible job! It was like dealing with loving family who wanted to be a part of my daughter’s celebration. And they certainly were. Not only did they go above and beyond by creating a delicious, moist cake and decorating it by hand, they did it for half the price and a larger cake than the one other company who was going to charge me $120. Thank you Quinn and your entire team for helping us celebrate this special occasion!
