My son and I visited Red Top Drive Inn on a rainy Saturday evening. The food was ok, but when I asked for my son's meal to be a combo the waitress separated everything on the bill. Then my son asked for some ice cream. I asked for a small bowl, they don't do bowls of ice cream just sundaes. If I wanted the ice cream in a bowl I would still be charged the sundae price.
I said "ok he will take a sundae." "What kind she asked, there is chocolate or strawberry." I asked my son what kind he wanted, he replied "strawberry please."
The waitress then proceeded to make a chocolate one instead. She apologised for her mistake and said the chocolate one was on the house. I said no that is ok, but she insisted and said if I didn't take it, it would be garbaged. My son and I both enjoyed sundaes.
When the bill came I just paid it thinking everything was ok, I got a shock when I came home and totaled the bill. The waitress had put the chocolate sundae on there and I gave her a tip.
Will not be eating there ever again!
