Stopped in for a quick bite for the first time ever. An older gentleman greeted me and I sat wherever I wanted as I was the only person there. I ordered the deluxe wonton soup with egg noodles. The man told me he was the owner and has been there for 50 years! The bathrooms are in the basement so if you have mobility issues, keep this in mind. The soup came out quickly. The filling is a combination of beef and pork and were dense and filling. I've never had wonton like this before. They've always just been pork filled. The broth has a notable ginger flavour which is also unique. There was a good amount of wonton (5), shrimp, chicken breast and BBQ pork. The decor is very tired and dated. I spent $16+$4 tip for this bowl of soup. It was ok but nothing about it makes me want to rush back.

it is so hard to find vegan chinese food in winnipeg, and this place does it just right.

we got wonton soup, spring rolls, veggie chicken, szechuan beef, deep fried shrimp, gluten balls, and the mixed fried rice.

all the food was prepared very quickly, and made-to-order. everything tasted so amazing and fresh. you can tell each dish was made with care and love. the portions are very big for the price, so there will likely be leftovers to take home.

the service was phenominal, our server was so friendly and made us feel like we were eating dinner at our parents' house.

can't recommend spring roll enough, whether you are vegan or not.

It's been a good 30 years since I've been here. Excellent lunch special. Perfect portion and Wonton soup was included. The price can't be beat! I'm visiting more often since I am back in the area.

The beef brocolli had carrots and black beans as a filler. The beef had the weirdest consistency. Small portion and apparently I should’ve requested a receipt? You are kidding, right?

In the past, ive had their lunch specials and it was fantastic, literally would recommend to anyone who wanted a affordable, filling meal for lunch.
however, i recently ordered dinner from there and im really disappointed.
the presentation of the food in the take out container looked great.. until you realize that the meat portion of the food is just laid on top, and wasnt mixed in. For example: i got a chicken fried rice, and there were 6 small pieces of chicken on top and nothing through out the rice. and i got the beef chow mein, again, noodles and veggies on the bottoms, 6-8 small pieces of beef on top, nothing mixed in.
the chow mein was overly salty, the chicken balls i ordered were extremely over cooked, barely edible.

We always get a large orderfor 10 of us for take out and the food was excellent as usual.

Ordered 8 dishes and had it delivered by Spring Roll Restaurant. Paid cash and got free rice - Whoopee. The driver had the wrong price and I had to call the restaurant to confirm the price. Driver was great but.... The entire meal was awful! Three of the dishes were shrimp, two were pork, one beef, 2 veggie and one rice. Not one dish tasted good. We were so disgusted we threw out almost everything after the first couple of bites and ordered pizza. I used to go to this restaurant years ago and it was always great. Now I wouldn't cross the street to eat their food if it was all free! Save your money and order from someone else. I have no idea how they have so many good reviews. Family? Friends? I just don't understand it!

the food is so delicious and quite affordable! the restaurant is ran by a man and his lovely wife, they are so sweet! the menu has vegan and vegetarian options making it accessible for everyone ! the atmosphere is so nice and inviting ! if you happen to be in winnipeg give it a try !! 🤤

Long time customer. I highly recommend this Restaurant. Food is always good, very affordable excellent value, and I like to support locally owned Businesses.

Not too bad! Delux wonton soup and spring rolls were really good. Have had lemon chicken in past. Food is good, just lost a star because it’s not very clean. Just don’t think about it and enjoy the meal. Prices are good too !

I can't speak to the service or atmosphere as it was a Skip order, but seriously, don't waste your money!
The chicken breading was greasy and way over cooked, almost burnt. The sauces( lemon and honey garlic ) were flavorless and very watery. The fried rice was not fried, it just had soy sauce on it. The vegetables consisted of raw cabbage and shredded carrots. Extremely disappointing.
