I am a regular customer at this Starbucks location (Brodie, UofM), but my most recent experience has left me extremely dissatisfied. I placed an order through the mobile app, only to be met with an unpleasant and unprofessional interaction when I went to pick it up. A staff member called my name and, with a rude tone and clear disgust, asked me to clarify my order. Without making any effort to engage politely or professionally, they informed me that none of the items were available, and walked away and never offered any substitutes. Throughout the entire exchange, the staff member did not even look at me, and their behavior was dismissive and disrespectful.
This is not the first time I’ve had negative experiences at this location, and it’s becoming increasingly frustrating to encounter such unhelpful and discourteous service. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve the professionalism and customer service at this Starbucks.
Update… February 19,2025. I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this Starbucks, particularly with the same employee I encountered during a prior visit. On February 14th I once again witnessed unprofessional behavior. The employee displayed blatant disregard for customer service by rolling her eyes and sighing loudly while interacting with my coworker. This type of attitude is simply unacceptable in any professional environment.
It’s incredibly frustrating that despite previous incidents, management has not yet addressed this issue. As a result, I now try to avoid this Starbucks while at work, as I no longer feel comfortable with the consistently poor customer service. If an employee is unhappy with their job, it is essential that management takes action to resolve the situation rather than allowing this negative atmosphere to persist. The lack of professionalism and respect for customers has left me feeling disheartened and disappointed.
