Great food, service was excellent and the atmosphere is really nice. The only complaint I might have is the value for $$, but overall it's a nice place for a nice higher end meal
Never disappointed !! Great restaurants.
We didn't order steak (we bbq our own ribeyes oten enough) , instead I got the chicken and mashed potatoes which were AMAZING, lots of garlic flavor and hot. The two pieces of breast were juicy and flavorful and the green beans were cooked just right along with the mashed potatoes that had loads of garlic. My husband got the Prime rib burger and fries. The burger was very thick and juicy with caramelized onions and really didn't need anything else for added flavor. The bun was soft and hot and not overly doughy and the fries were a large portion and tasted fresh and not greasy at all. A nice bonus are that the plates are heated so your food stays hot. Our server was a down to earth friendly, not fake and was very efficient and knew her menu. She made a lot of effort to make sure we enjoyed our food. The only strange thing was when we arrived for our reservation, we were going to be seated at a four seater table next to people and there were two seater booths open all around. I asked for a two seater booth instead for privacy, well that threw everyone at the front into chaos saying that was for people who had reservations. We said we did have reservations and it didn't seem to make sense to sit at a four seater when there were open tables for two. After huddling around the front desk we were put into a two seater booth which was much more private and cosy and made sense. Overall the atmosphere was nice and dark and even though it was packed, it was a nice vibe. Prices were fair considering how much everything is now.
The prime rib was awesome, service was friendly and the atmosphere wonderful. An all around good experience.
Food was not the best I've ever had and certainly way overpriced for what we got but the price was expected. Portions were smaller then most high end restaurants.
What was not expected was the waitresses (Alyssa R) terrible service. She seemed annoyed to have to serve us, I had to ask for water refill which is usually automatic when they see your glass getting low and she brought the water jug to fill others but clearly overlooked one of us intentionally??? She cleared the table with a bit of aggression, banging the dishes into a pile, she literally seemed annoyed to be there. Not up to standard for The Keg, that's for sure. Certainly not the higher standard of service from such an establishment!
Always great. If you get Don. You are in for a treat he is an amazing server.
Disappointed with my recent visit. The drinks tasted off—poorly mixed and flat tonic. On top of that, the service was slow and inattentive, which really took away from the experience. Expected better. Left early without ordering food.
Absolutely wonderful experience and divine food. I hadn't been to The Keg in many years and I didn't remember it being this good. To be fair, I think when I was younger I always ordered the cheapest thing on the menu 😂. This time we ordered the 18oz Prime Rib, medium rare and it was gorgeous. Wow. Also ordered the Blackened Chicken and we split both. The chicken was very good, but the prime rib was the star for sure. The slab was giant, of course. Cooked to perfection. The chicken had the most delicious sweet sauce. We ordered a side of peppercorn sauce for the beef, however the au jus it was served with was fantastic and so tasty. Loved the generous portion of crispy onions that came with the beef. We could eat those all day long and they added cruelly bursts of flavour to every bite. Garlic mash and the twice baked potatoes were great and full of flavour. Even the sautéed mushrooms were delightful.
We were celebrating hubby's birthday so were given a slab of Billy Miner pie for free. It was far larger than we ever imagined. $12 on the menu but what are generous size. Definitely worth that price and easily feeds two or three (assuming you are full from your meal).
Or waitress was so lovely and friendly. All the staff were excellent. We'd return for sure. The food was truly marvelous and mouth watering. One of the better restaurants we've eaten at in Winnipeg.
Fantastic food and professional service from Alyssa. This place will be my first choice for dates and family reunions. Wonderful experience!
Always perfect

Everything was excellent 👌
I've worked in this kitchen since day 1 and I have a lot to say about it. I reached out to management and they refused to respond so expect to see the videos and photos here soon.
Great service, we had a issue with our food/bill, but the manager was very friendly & caring of our needs and he sent us a giftcard to use at our next visit. This is much appreciated. We will definetely be back!
There's always room for dessert.
Watched about 6 other tables of 2 get seated before me even though I had a reservation and arrived a few minutes earlier than my reservation at 7.
