The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. James

We had a reservation but still had to wait 15 minutes to get our table - terrible service and when we were seated they were at least 1/3 a dozen empty tables around us.

Food and service was amazing, however the table is so small, couldn't fit our drinks and food

We normally go to the bar area & wait for a table, but on special occasions our anniversary I make a reservation it was for 6 pm. I always have med rare prime rib, the server said they only had Medium. However when it arrived it look more like well. I tried a few bites but the texture & consistency it was not good. My wife had steak & lobster which was great the appetizer was really good gouda with asparagus dip. I guess you have to be there at 4 pm when they open. To be fair this is the first time in all the years of going to the Keg even at the old Portage location that this has happened.

We had a wonderful time, food was amazing! Steaks cooked to perfection! Server was attentive without being overly attentive, just perfect!

Our dining experience was excellent in every way. Shkelzen is an excellent waiter and looked after our every need very promptly and professionally.

By far this location is our favourite Food always great First time requesting to be seated with a waitress we have had before. Natasha It really made our supper extra special. She remembered us and our extra conversation outside of the normal order taking really made our date night As always her service was excellent Looking forward to our next date night Thank you for fulfilling our request Kurt and Nicole

Had the Classic Filet Mignon. Everything was great, except the steak was a bit overcooked for my taste.

Turkey dinner was good, large portion. The cheesecake not our dessert was good would preferred pumpkin pie with whipping cream, cheesecake was still good.

Everything was great except for the carrots, which were not cooked or glazed and didn't even look pealed. All I can say about them, is they were barely warm. Too bad because everything else was excellent!

Steaks and potatoes were great. Kind of surprised you have cut back on the bread. Only giving 2 pieces for a table of 2.

Some of the best servers in the city. The food was great as usual. Thanks for treating my daughter like a princess.

The kitchen staff went out of their way to accommodate various food allergies. Shout out to Megan and the rest of the staff for a really lovely experience!

The Keg really needs to open a new location to service, North Kildonan, East St. Paul, West Kildonan, East Kildonan and Transcona. It's ridiculous having only 3 locations in a city that is approaching 1 million people.
