The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. James

My birthday celebrations took us to Keg St.James, and as past experience, it was an easy choice. I flipped from my usual wedge salad to a ceasar, had the popular baseball sirloin and topped off with a lobster tail. Rounding out the plate was a twice baked potato, mushrooms, green beans and roasted beets. And of course a couple of loaves of sourdough bread. Everything was great as usual and we were so happy to have our fav server Spiro who treated me to a Billy Miner pie that I had to share. Once again a wonderful dinner, thank you Keg!!

Great place for a casual business meeting and meal. The food and service was fantastic.

Love their desserts and the pistachio crusted salmon.

Update. May 23 2025: after responding directly via their email and at their request I provided further info, I was ghosted by the Manager of the Portage Avenue location. Guess that speaks volumes as to their level of customer service. Pick another restaurant, and one that actually cares. Disappointed beyond words.
Recently had dinner here for a late seating so we would not feel rushed. Unfortunately, we were still rushed. Timing on meals could use some work. A member of our table ordered a salad indicating to the server that it was meant as a main course, but received it while we were eating our appetizers. Food was good save for a few mix ups. Still a good meal, but room for improvement here.

Enjoyed an evening with family as part of my 75th birthday weekend. The Keg never disappointswith top notch service and consistently fantastic dinners.

Mark was amazing, made our night with his sense of humor and attentiveness . We had a 1 year old with us and she was absolutely catered to. Great night out!

It's the Keg. My steak and jumbo shrimp did not disappoint. Steak cooked to perfection, veggies, crisp and flavourful. Red sangria to top it off

Walked across around 7pm on a Friday and were seated in the lounge right away. The Jets game was a super bonus!

Our server was exceptional, aways on top of our needs without even asking. The food was great as always.

We had a great time at the Keg for my husbands birthday. All the food was delicious and they were super accommodating to our party. Will definitely return.

Ordered nachos in the bar, barely any cheese on it. The guacamole was dry and brown. I believe it was under the heat lamps, but not too sure our prime rib sliders were cold and I know it was busy, but the waitress barely came around.

Steak was salty, rice was very bland, vegetables just ok, just got carrots. With a side salad, for the food I got for value of $68 was way overpriced. Very dissatisfied.

As always, The Keg delivered excellent service and food, but I was very disappointed that my favorite J. Lohr red wine was unavailable. It's a staple I always look forward to, and its absence should not have happened at a restaurant of this caliber.

Tim our server was exceptional today. He was engaging and fun and made our dinner feel perfect.
