The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - St. James

We had a wonderful dinner. We celebrated our anniversary and was surprised with a complimentary dessert. The meal was delicious as always. Steak was fine to our liking and the food fresh. Thankyou Keg!!!

The food was excellent and the service was excellent. Everybody was friendly and welcoming. Our waiter Spiro was excellent, friendly and attentive.

Once again we had a lovely dinner at The Keg. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We always enjoy our dinner experience there.

Was there for are 10 year wedding Anniversary had a reservation but was asked to sit at a booth in the bar requested to be moved as was not the setting we were hoping for. The server was good but both meals did not come out as requested my wife did send hers back but I did just eat mine. We have gone to the keg many times but felt overall this experience was not good do to poor food and not a good vibe for are anniversary. Left questioning if we would choose the keg again and we should have made a different choice for our 10 year wedding Anniversary.

Our experience was not our typical Keg St. James experience. We were not sure if they were under staffed? We had to wait quite awhile for our bread and bottle of wine to arrive. The salad was incorrect and the meal arrived right after the salad came. We had booked for a birthday, but those details never were communicated to our server. The meal was good but the timing of everything seemed off. The server was trying hard but she seemed run off her feet.

My birthday celebrations took us to Keg St.James, and as past experience, it was an easy choice. I flipped from my usual wedge salad to a ceasar, had the popular baseball sirloin and topped off with a lobster tail. Rounding out the plate was a twice baked potato, mushrooms, green beans and roasted beets. And of course a couple of loaves of sourdough bread. Everything was great as usual and we were so happy to have our fav server Spiro who treated me to a Billy Miner pie that I had to share. Once again a wonderful dinner, thank you Keg!!

Great place for a casual business meeting and meal. The food and service was fantastic.

Love their desserts and the pistachio crusted salmon.

Update. May 23 2025: after responding directly via their email and at their request I provided further info, I was ghosted by the Manager of the Portage Avenue location. Guess that speaks volumes as to their level of customer service. Pick another restaurant, and one that actually cares. Disappointed beyond words.
Recently had dinner here for a late seating so we would not feel rushed. Unfortunately, we were still rushed. Timing on meals could use some work. A member of our table ordered a salad indicating to the server that it was meant as a main course, but received it while we were eating our appetizers. Food was good save for a few mix ups. Still a good meal, but room for improvement here.

Enjoyed an evening with family as part of my 75th birthday weekend. The Keg never disappointswith top notch service and consistently fantastic dinners.

Mark was amazing, made our night with his sense of humor and attentiveness . We had a 1 year old with us and she was absolutely catered to. Great night out!

It's the Keg. My steak and jumbo shrimp did not disappoint. Steak cooked to perfection, veggies, crisp and flavourful. Red sangria to top it off

Walked across around 7pm on a Friday and were seated in the lounge right away. The Jets game was a super bonus!

Our server was exceptional, aways on top of our needs without even asking. The food was great as always.
