Had lunch at The Taphouse Osborne today and it was so good! The burger was super juicy and tasty, and the poutine hit the spot, crispy fries, melty cheese, and rich gravy. Everything came out fresh and hot. Definitely one of the best lunches I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend checking it out!
We tried the poutien as the sign outside says Poutien King. It was not good. The fries tasted like the oil was really old and dirty. The gravy was watery and flavorless.
Staff were super nice, service was fast.
Great vibe, great bar. There was a live band, Calamity Jane and they were really good too
Good beer on tap. Lots of live music options in their calendar. I'm really glad to see the use of garage doors making their way into Winnipeg venues as a way to open up the space to the outdoors.
Service was very polite but the fries are disgusting. I ordered the Newfie poutine, gravy good curds good but the fries tasted like unwashed potatoes. Poutine king please change your fries! Me and my friends who all got poutine felt very sick on the drive home and have had stomach aches all night now
A good spot in the Village for live music with different type on different days... And some good bar food too!
Flummoxed by the rigamarole required to gain entry to a place wherein you find everyone has a coat on their body or chair back but they tell you coat check is mandatory and it will cost you $3. Beyond the palaver of getting frisked nine different ways and despite proving yourself unarmed and normal you will be followed around literally and by gaze of four randy security guards. Every time you reach in your pocket for your wallet or phone, eight assiduous eyes twinkle and widen and they all lick their lips panting fervently, hot to trot should any sort of rule be broken. I think they're too excited to be there and I think the presence of even just one security guard so excited is way incongruent with a good time. You can't chill with the boys at this establishment, even if you're normal. I recommend any place else. Sit in an alley all night, it's better.
Dallas Jets game, it’s 2nd period and the big screen tv menu pops up and jets game changed for a basketball game instead…. Boo urns Taphouse!
Asked 3x over the next 5-10 minutes to please turn the Jets game back on.
Considering there were more staff there than patrons, was truly surprised at such poor whiteout love.
Literally 10 out of 10 everything bartenders, amazing and super attentive. The vibes are always there at the security are so nice.
I don’t think it’s right to charge people cover if there’s no band playing. Like what is the cover for, to watch the “security guards” flex in their vests?

I came for the Rock Band Tribute night. Music was amazing, servers were nice, although getting water was slow after paying. Food is about $20 per dish but has plate sized portions.
Wheelchair accessibility: There are mandatory stairs. Not wheelchair accessible at all.
