Best roll in town. I love that the menu is not huge, everything they do, they do well. It's hard not to over order, because portion sizes are usually bigger than most sushi places.

My wife and I absolutely love Tokyo Sushi and are currently heading there for my brother’s birthday. The sashimi is always fresh and the rolls are delicious and not overloaded with excess rice.
We consider Tokyo Sushi in the top 3 Sushi Restaurants in Winnipeg and one of the best in all our travels working clockwise from Toronto to New York to Florida, California, Hawaii to Vancouver and back home.

Amazing restaurant!
The decor and cozy vibe are the first thing I like
We ordered food and it did take a bit of time but we were all satisfied. I also order tea to share and had some bites from my friends’ dishes as well
Highly recommend

I've been to many sushi restaurants in Winnipeg but I keep coming back to this one. Everything I've tried is amazing! The quality of their salmon sashimi is a tell tale of the quality of all their rolls.....high quality!

Hole in the wall worth stoppingfor. Affordable, small but well-curated menu. The standout items I had were the Smoked Salmon Nigiri (cold smoked in house and very unique flavour) as well as the midnight charred Tokyo roll (it tasted like a campfire the moment you put it into your mouth, incredible sensation.) I thought the gomae was unique as well.

Great texture on the fish - very fresh, and soft.

Small parking out back.

Calming music and a small seating area ambiance with a respectful simple layout. Nice view to the freeway gives it a "street food" vibe.

The service was great! Our server was very friendly. We had the takoyaki, volcano roll, titanic, and half TNT - all were really good. Will be coming back for sure!

Tokyo Sushi has been our go to sushi place for many years now. Perfectly presented and always fresh, I can mix and match dinners and get lots of variety. Inari, gyoza and tempura shrimp appetizers are the go tos. Then maybe a Vegas or Red Dragon, spider roll or TNT, so many choices but all so delicious!

They are reasonably priced and good portions. But they have the absolute best tempura rolls in the city.
