The Olive Tree | Italian Reviews
We arrived at 2:30 on Sunday, told we had to wait 10 minutes (curiously many tables were available) we waited 20 minutes. Finally got seated ... after awhile, my husband and I made our selections. We had plenty of time to peruse our menu; not one person came by to take our order, not even drinks...so after 25 minutes of not being checked on nor served, we left. I wish I had a black tablecloth to show we were in mourning for our waitress, but alas no one would have noticed that....read full review
I am sad to say that after 4 years of coming here when I first got stationed at APG, Olive Tree has gone down hill. I’ve been here a countless amount of times with friends and family, but after what happened tonight, I won’t be back. I used to think this was the best place to get Italian in the area. Tonight, I decided to order dinner after a long day at work just before leaving at 5. I placed my order on Slice, and while I was on my way to pick it up, I was told they don’t...read full review
Food wasn’t good at all and when my wife told the waiter her meal was too salty he took it away angrily and didn’t even apologize. I ordered the cream of crab soup as a starter and got it after my main. The soup was a joke being cream soup with a few pieces of crab meat tossed on top. Sad when the best part of the meal was the salad and bread sticks. Waiter was rude and didn’t seem to care at all

The Olive Tree | Italian is a restaurant with a long-standing reputation, offering a variety of Italian dishes across several locations. Customers appreciate the large, delicious portions and friendly service, particularly highlighting servers like Scott, who are attentive and go above and beyond to enhance the dining experience. Popular menu items include crab cake dinners, chicken fettuccine, and prosciutto with mushrooms, peas, and parmesan cheese in garlic butter sauce over angel hair pasta. Many enjoy the carry out service, especially for the crab cakes, which are broiled to perfection and praised for their creaminess and flavor.
However, some recent reviews mention a decline in quality and atmosphere. One customer noted that the menu has become slimmed down, missing items like the trio and crab wonton, with a noticeable increase in prices. Complaints about the food include soggy creme brulee served in a throwaway package, a tomato sauce that tasted like canned tomatoes, and smaller portions of fettuccine alfredo. Additionally, a cold dining room was mentioned, with some customers choosing to go to their vehicles for jackets. Despite these issues, the restaurant remains a popular spot for those seeking hearty Italian meals, though some feel that the quality has diminished over time.
