The Choptank Reviews
The location and food is exceptional. My favorite is the Eastern Shore Cobb Salad
with the champagne vinaigrette. I could eat that every day. Piled high with crab and seafood, so delicious.
Went there Saturday night for my 73 Birthday The staff was wonderful the food was delicious I had the crab cake platter I wished I would of taken pictures of all the food we ordered There was 7 of us, we were to busy eating . I will definitely be going back Thank you for making my Birthday special
Food ( Fish and chips and Maryland Crab dip) was average for price paid. Fish seemed slimmy. Mussels were actually good.
Service was a bit slow and no straws for water. Bar mirrors need a thorough cleaning ( very dirty).
For a high end restaurant it seemed low end. Definitely needs to be reevaluated and cleaned.

The Choptank offers a pleasant dining experience with a focus on quality and value. The menu features delectable dishes like lobster rolls and salmon, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to using fresh, flavorful ingredients. The outdoor rooftop and beautiful waterfront views create a serene and relaxing atmosphere, making it a royal treat for diners. Customers consider it the best waterfront spot in Annapolis, praising the beautiful outdoor seating and the delicious dishes served, including lemongrass mussels, cream of crab soup, crabcakes, and wings—some even calling it their favorite meal ever. The Maryland crab soup and crab cake sandwich are highly recommended, and the mussels and crab dip receive special praise.
Service is often outstanding, with many reviews highlighting the exceptional customer care provided by staff, especially Sam, who is noted for his personable and knowledgeable approach. Reservations for special occasions, like birthdays, are handled well, with staff being accommodating and attentive to guests' needs. However, some customers found it odd that the restaurant closes for a half hour during peak brunch time on Sundays, which led to some parties being turned away. Despite this, the atmosphere, friendly staff, and high-quality seafood make The Choptank a memorable dining destination. The manager Dani has also been recognized for her efforts in turning around less positive experiences, ensuring that guests leave happy.
