First time coming here and Im glad we stopped. From the wine selections to the charcuterie board and different flavored deviled eggs, we weren't hungry for the main courses. (Definitely coming back). The adjoining wine store has wine tastings every Saturday. This week was Rhone, France selections. Very nice. Then we hit the French pastry store there in the same plaza. Incredible selections of of Pettifors and macaroons. Great little area!
Food and service was excellent. but there are only 4 beers to choose from. So I guess since it's a wine bar, you'd better not expect to get any choice in beer. Plenty of cocktails. I find that too bad. I love Grapes but sometimes I'm in the mood for beer. So I have to go elsewhere. oh well.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Grapes Wine Bar & Restaurant. The oysters, Brussels sprouts, scallop risotto, and mushroom gnocchi were all delicious, and the wine paired well with everything we ordered.
The dining room was attractive and comfortable, and having the restaurant connected to the wine store was a convenient touch. The service was fine, though not especially memorable. Overall, the food, wine, and atmosphere made for a very enjoyable evening.
