Service and atmosphere are great here. Nice menu choices and everything I tried was good. I've ate here several times.
The food was wonderful and the best price of any place we ate at while in Annapolis. Had a bit of a mix up as to who was the sever for our table so no one came to take our drink order or even give us water for almost 30 minutes. They were busy so didn't say anything at first but then mentioned it to the hostess and it was taken care of. Would go there again
The service at the Tavern was amazing, and the mood was wonderful. My husband loved his fish and chips. I had the tavern burger, it was ok. They had a great line up of draft beers and the venue is connected right to Ramshead on Stage. Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner at the Tavern.
Our table of two was sat promptly around 6:20pm. We were heading to a show next door that started at 7:30pm. We sat for a full 12 minutes before our server greeted us. We were very surprised she was our server, as she had been in the section tending to other guests the entire time. We simply thought we were in someone else's section because she didn't even look at us once until 12 minutes after we were seated. In this time, she had gotten drink refills for two other tables, and greeted and got drink orders for a table that was sat after we were. She had four tables including us and all three of them were tended to well while we sat there without eye contact. Again, we didn't even get a hello or a "Be right with you" until 12 minutes after seating. Once we realized this woman was our server, I walked up to a trio of other servers and asked if a manager was available. One server, Stephanie, asked what the issue was and we relayed the problem. She resat us in her section (right next to our original section). Stephanie was great from then on with the exception that I said I still wanted to talk to a manager and a manager never came. Two drinks were adjusted from our bill, which was a fine gesture, but not what we wanted. Because we were heading to a show, I did not press the issue of talking to a manager. Unfortunately, that means I am writing this review instead of simply addressing it in the restaurant. Recommendations for this restaurant: 1) Have consistent service for all guests across all sections. Don't have some guests tended to well and others ignored. We won't even try to guess why we were ignored, but we were most certainly ignored. Had we had a chance to speak to a manager, they may have shed light on why. 2) When someone asks to speak to a manager, make sure a manager speaks with them. Don't assume we want a discount when there are deeper issues. Would gladly have paid for drinks if we were able to address the poor service issue with a manager.
My first time hearing is definitely a great place to see a rock show very underrated place really cool place

I would have given a negative one had it been a choice. Our group of eight did not get to eat or drink anything. We were in the lower level, on a Friday afternoon, after the Clydedales paraded down West Street. There was ONE person working the bar, all the tables, and cleaning all the tables. The restaurant was very busy as expected, and for some unknown reason management had only ONE person working and she could not have cared less whether anyone was attended too. I do get it from the bartender’s perspective, she was given no one to help her, but after sending 15 years as a bartender and sever you at least try, which she did not do. We sat for soo long, before finally giving up and going to the Chop Tank that we saw three other groups of people leave after never getting serviced. Although I was very annoyed with Rams Head management, or should I say lack of management I was also annoyed with the bartender who was left standing. Folks there are a lot of other restaurants in Annapolis to choose from, although we have been to Rams Head on multiple occasions in the past, we will NOT go again. Choose one of the many other restaurants. The Chop Tank had good food and a water view.
Stopped in on Christmas Eve for a few drinks. The atmosphere is amazing and the servers were doing a great job considering how busy there were with festive customers. What was disappointing was the alcoholic drink sizes and the strength of the drink. Also seemed overpriced but was expected in a tourist town. Overall, it was a good experience and our party had a nice Christmas Eve.

We stopped in for lunch while staying at the Graduate. I had the Irish Shepherds Pie and It was delicious. The meals were served fairly quickly. The server was fast and very friendly.

We went to the 5:30 show yesterday and made dinner reservations for 7:15 at the restaurant after the show.
We arrived a few minutes early and we're promptly seated. Afyer sitting for close to 20 minutes a server finally showed up and took our wayer and drink orders.
We waited another 20 minutes and never received our water or our drinks. It was like we didn't exist.
We left and got an "I'm sorry" from a server. They could not have cared any less. After a few good experiences here we were shocked at the horrible service!!
My wife and I dined here on a recent Sunday evening. We both had the Mahi Special.
The presentation of the dish was beautiful but the Mahi was dry and rubbery, most likely overcooked. The accompanying vegetables of asparagus & fried tomatoes & sauce were excellent. Service and atmosphere were also excellent. We have dined here several times in the past and were generally very please with the food, unfortunately our past visit was very disappointing.

Food and cocktails were great. The crab cake was a whole lot more crab than cake. The atmosphere was cozy casual. And the coffee house guitarist made the ambiance of the evening that much more perfect.
Thank you for making our short visit to Annapolis even more welcoming.

Friends and I went there for our 20th college reunion. We used to go here all the time while in college too. It's a great place with great atmosphere and good beer on tap. What else could you want?

Rams Head Tavern overall has good food at reasonable prices. The menu selection is large enough for everyone to find something they like without it being too big.

Came to Rams Head Tavern for lunch and decided to try the Dynamite Burger with candied bacon and fried jalapenos.
Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect with the fried jalapenos, but I definitely didn't expect an entire fried jalapeno sitting on top of my burger. It wasn't very appetizing, especially since the jalapeno was cold, which was a bit of a letdown.
That said, the burger itself was really tasty! The candied bacon was spot on--crispy, sweet, and salty--just the way I like it.
Despite the jalapeno surprise, I'd still recommend this burger for the bacon alone!
