Food was burnt and very nasty
It was great, but not anymore. I haven't seen Ajumma herself in the past few months, and the quality of the food (beef bulgogi platter in particular) obviously deteriorated. It becomes like typical fusion Asian food - unpleasantly salty with amateur application of soy sauce and other Asian condiments. I speculate that the ownership of this restaurant has been transferred to its former kitchen helpers, who is unfamiliar with Asian cuisine despite their experience working with Ajumma.
Great Korean food at a great price. Been eating there for the better part of a decade. I always get the chicken bulgogi.
Got my order wrong, display screens don’t work, lackluster atmosphere (if you can even call it that), food had a pool of oil at the bottom. When I think of all the deserving restaurants that have shuttered on St Paul, Ajumma offers no compelling case to stay open.
I LOVE AJUMMA!!! Staple of the JHU community. Absolute joy.
I go there practically every day that is my lunch spot for the shrimp and steak platter.

I only got the dumpling soup bc I can't chew much right now, and it was F I R E ?!! Their broth is savory, the dumplings are delicious and the guy that was serving was super friendly.. and the prices are pretty good. Definitely excited to go back and try more when I can chew better!! Highly recommend.

I got the squid bulgogi for takeout which came out to about 13 dollars. I love Korean food and I will say this place is decent (obvs not the best Korean food you will ever have but pretty delicious imo). The stir-fried squid was tasty with right amount of heat. The squid is stir-fried with some veggies and served with rice. It was a good filling lunch for a reasonable price. I will come back when I am craving Korean food. If you like seafood and spicy food, I highly recommend squid bulgogi!

Ajumma and I go way back to when I was in college. Since that time I’ve gotten to see the restaurant blossom. The owner has always been so kind even after all these years, still greets me with a warm, friendly smile. I was so glad I was able to take my wife here recently over the past decade, nothing has been ableto replace the awesome chicken Bulgogi (extra spicy).

Food was very tasty. Kimchi Fried rice wasn't made like I'm used to but the Yukkae Jjang was very good!

The ramen was really good but the chicken was hard and stiff like , the lady there asked me if I wanted to try the fried dumplings and I wanted steamed originally. I didn’t like their fried dumplings and the lady gave me a really hard time and she didn’t want to give me a refund and then was very passive aggressive about it and tried to tell me that’s what I wanted when I didn’t she asked me to try them and also said they were really good and they weren’tAlso the store is really cold inside like the heat is down or something but it wasn’t comfortable.
