This is a little gem that keeps on going. We always have a great time eating here. The ambience is terrific and the food is of the highest caliber. I usually order the Goa fish which is done to perfection.

I had a lovely dinner on the open-air patio at Ambassador Dining Room! The ambiance is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly. I also loved the happy hour specials and would love to come back for lunch. Highly recommend!

The Saturday/Sunday brunch is ridiculously satisfying--value unlike anywhere I've been and the ambiance of the space and friendliness of the staff/ owner is very appreciated.

Great place for brunch, lots of options and always really tasty. It is all Indian fare, so if you're expecting chicken fingers or other American dishes on the buffet, you won't find it. Staff is super friendly and the drinks flow

There is much to be praised about gentility—there is so little of it about anymore. But it does reside at the Ambassador, a refined setting with a restrained menu that can accommodate most tastes. All-in-all, an experience to be repeated—many times.

Went here last night for Valentine's Day with my date. Was pretty busy, but did get seated in a timely manner. The food and service was pretty good, with the exception of my date not getting something that they requested with their meal. Since it was busy, it did take longer for our food to come out, and we did not get the seating that I requested, which was by the fireplace. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the taste of the food and the ambience makes up for it. Overall, I do see myself going back again.

The lighting was very dark. Need more light to see menu, food and surroundings. The atmosphere can still be romantic and cozy but not dark and dreary. Other than that the food was delicious and the service was amazing.

The Ambassador offers delicious traditional Indian cuisine in an elegant atmosphere. Shahi Korma is outstanding. The tandoori lb chops are unbelievable. Many breads. Reasonable pricing.

Ambassador Dining Room was once the Indian restaurant we went to celebrate special occasions. Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines, which as an amateur cook I prepare myself on occasion. We went the Ambassador for dinner on Thursday, January 25 with friends who are also fond of Indian food and we were all stunned. The traditional Indian dishes we ordered were bland and tasteless. not a hint of traditional Indian flavors. Even the Naan was limp and tasteless. What has happened to the once fine restaurant?

I dined here with family the day after Christmas. It was lovely - decorated for the season and we were seated next to a working fireplace. We had samosas and a variety of dishes. The food was delicious and the service just right. Will definitely return.

Paneer tikka masala, great taste, with the sweetness and soft paneer in the creamy sauce. Mango lassi is thick (I like it) and I like how it was mixed with ground spices. Candelight dinner.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian section available and with many selections.

We had a group of 4 people come in. It was pretty close to closing time, so I believe we were the only people in the restaurant. Service was very professional and accommodating; they kindly gave us a seat near the fireplace, given that it was quite chilly outside that night. We got the malai kofta, chicken tikka masala, and paneer tikka masala dishes, if I'm remembering correctly (it's been a few months since our visit). All of the dishes were delicious. They were well seasoned, creamy, aromatic, and presented nicely. The naan's we ordered came in a basket with linen cloth. Each curry came with a serving of rice, so keep this in mind if you're looking for a light meal. They will tell you this when taking your order.I would definitely visit again, but the prices were quite high for the quantity and amount of food served. Rice tends to be pretty cheap, so it seems the entrees themselves were slightly overpriced. If you're looking for something similar for less, consider Sakoon on St. Paul St. This is still a very good visit though, especially for the atmosphere and building.
