Sushi here is top tier and so is the ambience. I stopped in on a busy weekday. This place was packed. My friend and I ordered everything from the tuna tartare, chirashi bowl, Toyosu nigiri platter, seared otoro and the matchamisu dessert. This was plenty of food for 2 people. We loved the quality of fish and presentation here. The otoro cuts were definitely the highlight of the evening. Seared otoro tuna with endless amounts of shaved truffle on top. Definitely save some room for dessert as the matchamisu was a take on the tiramisu. The mascarpone, mango and matcha were a great combination.

The service here was great. Our servers were attentive and we enjoyed the variety of seafood, Asian fusion and even saw some hibachi items. Azumi is a great place to enjoy some cocktails, sushi or hibachi. I highly recommend booking reservations in advance. The bartender did let me know they have sushi making classes and tuna carving sessions throughout the month. I'll definitely be back to try some different cuts of fish and their sushi rolls.

Loved this place! High quality sashimi / nigiri 🍣, as well as a melt in your mouth Wagu! 🥩 that they let you cook to your desired temperature on a hot stone with topping and sauce options to add which was fun! And their Lychee Martinis 🍸 are great as well! Our server was Valeriya ! She was so sweet , fun , and highly knowledgeable about the entire menu, if you go I highly recommend her as a server! Will def be back

This was my second time attempting to dine at this restaurant. On both occasions, I made a reservation and requested a booth for comfort. especially for a date night. On my first visit several months ago, they were unable to honor the booth request and tried to seat us at a very small, tight table. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere.

Fast-forward to yesterday, January 16, 2026—we decided to give it another try. Again, our booth request was not accommodated. When we raised the concern, the staff tried to seat us at a small table, which was not suitable for one guest in our party who is 6’5”. When we asked how long it would be to get a booth, we were told 45–50 minutes, which suggests the restaurant is not properly planning for reservations. We ultimately found seating in the bar area, which worked for our party.

The food, however, was enjoyable. For appetizers, we had lamb chops and a king crab sushi roll—both were flavorful and delicious, with the king crab roll offering a satisfying crunch. For entrees, we tried two fried rice dishes: Wagyu with hot sauce on the side and chicken with the sauce served traditionally. Surprisingly, the chicken fried rice was our favorite, with a nice balance of heat and sweetness, from the hot sauce. The Wagyu was slightly overcooked, though still a good dish. Drinks were solid—Cabernet and a whiskey with cranberry juice.

Service in the bar area was excellent. The servers were attentive, welcoming, and checked in regularly throughout the evening. Special mention to the three gentlemen primarily working that section—they provided great service.

Would I return? The restaurant is fine for a casual outing or a drinks-and-bites night at the bar, but I found it somewhat overrated. The food is good but not exceptional enough to crave, and the handling of reservations is a consistent downside. With better planning for seating requests, this could easily be a stronger experience.

Pros: Good appetizers, flavorful entrees, attentive service in the bar area
Cons: Booth/seating requests not accommodated, reservations appear poorly managed, food enjoyable but not exceptional

We went for dinner on Saturday night. The food, ambience, and staff were amazing. There is off-street parking nearby (90 second walk).

Azumi was a decent experience. The sushi was slightly fishy and the miso soup was lukewarm. The dessert, however, was delicious and we had a great time celebrating a birthday. Service was decent, they didn't explain anything about the menu and it was often difficult to flag them down if we needed additional assistance. I appreciated that people came by regularly to fill our drinks.

An Absolute Exceptional Dining Experience at Azumi today with my sis!!!!

Azumi delivered an unforgettable dining experience from the moment we arrived.

The ambience is truly out of this world—modern, elegant, and perfectly balanced with warmth. The waterfront views are absolutely stunning, creating a serene and upscale atmosphere that elevates the entire meal. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply enjoying a night out, the setting alone makes Azumi stand out as a top-tier destination in Baltimore.
What truly made our evening exceptional, however, was the outstanding service. Our server, Val, was nothing short of phenomenal—attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. She anticipated our needs seamlessly, offered thoughtful recommendations, and ensured that every part of our dining experience was flawless without ever feeling intrusive. Val is the kind of server who turns a great restaurant into an unforgettable one.
Additionally, Agustín went above and beyond by graciously offering to take our photo. It may seem like a small gesture, but it spoke volumes about the hospitality and team culture at Azumi. His kindness and willingness to help us capture a special moment added a personal touch that we truly appreciated.
Between the impeccable service, breathtaking waterfront views, and refined, luxurious ambience, Azumi sets the standard for excellence. Val and Agustín are exemplary employees who clearly take pride in delivering exceptional guest experiences. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough and look forward to returning soon.

Worth EVERY dollar. Soooo so good!!!

Parking was super easy to find , the garage was right next door and a short walk. The inside of this place is gorgeous and super clean. Our server was very MIA. Didn’t really say much or explain the menu and was gone for several minutes at a time. The food was delicious and the presentation was AMAZING. My sushi was literally on fire 😍😍. Definitely recommend 8/10. Great date night or birthday party.

Everything was great the service was good but it was extremely crowded which resulted in some delays

First went to the bar for cocktails and while there wasn't an overwhelming amount of people waiting, it took us quite a bit of time before they took our order and then quite a bit of time to get our drinks and then we had to ask for the bill before ever getting acknowledged again. The drinks were just OK. As for the sushi... It was so disappointing. The eel was served almost chilled which I have never had happened before and the eel sauce was very limited, my husband ordered a bowl with sashimi on top and it was a little reminiscent of a Poké bowl that had no flavor ... no sauces... no seasonings just rice and pieces of fish on top with radishes for garnish. No flavor. Also something interesting with the sushi is the rice did not stick together making it almost impossible to eat without making a mess and losing half the rice in the soy sauce when dipping. The price did not match the quality of the food. Our waitress, however, was amazing and very attentive although another strange thing is that our food was not served at the same time. Two meals came out together and one came out later.
