Azumi has the best Japanese cuisine in town and ...beyond! We dine there often and we enjoy the experience every single time. Drinks are offered to perfection and the service, although recently it seems to be rotating people often, is always great. Fabrizzio was very attentive and polite! We'll back soon!

Note that my review was for takeout only - but the audacity of this place to charge what they do for honestly the most mid sushi rolls I've ever had. $16 for an avocado roll that wasnt even properly rolled and with stale old sushi rice? Crazy! Nothing special to go here. Maybe the atmosphere is worth charging out the roof? I won't be back to find out.

We've been coming to Azumi for a long time and I've been meaning to write a review specifically for our server Antonio because he consistently delivers some of the best service we've ever experienced. He always greets us with a genuine smile that makes you feel welcome right away. Even when the restaurant is packed, he has a way of making every table feel acknowledged. If you need something and he's across the room, he'll make eye contact or give a quick nod that says “I see you, I'll be right with you.” It's a small thing, but it makes such a difference in how taken care of you feel. He also explains the specials clearly and with real enthusiasm, not just reciting a script. You can tell he knows the menu well and cares that his guests enjoy what they order. On this visit we enjoyed the Bluefin 3-Way, the Seared Otoro, Torched Salmon Belly, Hamachi Toro, Truffle Uni, and the Hotate special. Everything was top tier, as always from Azumi, but having a server who enhances the experience the way Antonio does really sets the tone for the night. We will always ask to be seated in his section whenever possible. He's a true professional and one of the reasons we continue to return.

I drove 45 min from Annapolis to Baltimore to visit the manager and all the staff was very nice and welcoming seating us 15 min before the kitchen was closed and letting us order and the food was perfect

Azumi did not disappoint! This was my first time dining outside of the Flame Room, and everything was exceptional. The tuna tartare, seaweed salad, and calamari were perfect starters. The lychee martini, espresso martini, and Wax On Wax Off cocktail were all amazing. For entrées, I had the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly. Two of my guests ordered the cod they said it was light, flaky, and full of flavor and the chirashi was both stunning and delicious. The street corn, brussel sprouts, and mushroom sides were the perfect complements to our meal. It was also my birthday celebration, and the surprise dessert platter was the sweetest touch. Thank you, Azumi, for such a memorable evening! 🎉

When I say, quality service, good recommendations and over all customer care— that was all Antonio! As for food I lived and worked in Japan several times and the quality of the fish and flavor pairings were as authentic as one could get in Baltimore. The Kyushu margarita and Wax On, Wax Off bourbon drink were both tasty. Jasper was a great server, he clearly has tried and loves the whole menu and gave amazing recommendations.
