Azumi was a decent experience. The sushi was slightly fishy and the miso soup was lukewarm. The dessert, however, was delicious and we had a great time celebrating a birthday. Service was decent, they didn't explain anything about the menu and it was often difficult to flag them down if we needed additional assistance. I appreciated that people came by regularly to fill our drinks.
This was my second time attempting to dine at this restaurant. On both occasions, I made a reservation and requested a booth for comfort. especially for a date night. On my first visit several months ago, they were unable to honor the booth request and tried to seat us at a very small, tight table. We ended up leaving and going elsewhere. If looking for a sophisticated, relaxing sushi restaurant this is not it. High music volume, especially when seated close to the bar, makes conversations difficult. The sushi was fine, nothing particularly special. The highlight was our server, who was attentive and accommodated our table change request. Also a fun location on the waterfront.
